An engaging mini-platformer with a cool story and solid controls. Fits the theme well. The general feel of the game is good, thought it would benefited from some sound effects. The graphics & animations are crisp and fit together well. Well done!

Interesting little game. The gameplay is repetitive, but the main asset is the story. It's so mysterious we can't help but continue, to figure out the what happened. Good job !

Neat little story while keeping with the theme. Creepy atmosphere, good job on that too. The jump was a little sluggish and I never really had to use it. Getting the enemies to flip in the direction they move would be a nice little touch.

Nice game. I found a bug where if you stand in front of the door and spam C, you can skip some rooms. I found jumping to be unresponsive and delayed, maybe you could trigger in on button down instead of up. Nice work on the story.

I liked this game. Especially the way that main character moves. This "I am the Boss" walk is just hilarious. There's a little problem with jump, but it's not crucial at all. I had no problem clearing monsters. And the story. I followed that till the end. Good job.

This is a cool idea, I like the artwork. The text color made it a little bit difficult to read

Pesky little devils. Nice game, however the screen-size is a bit small.

Compelling story, nice theme use.
Game screen is a bit small I had to squint at my monitor to read the story.

Not bad. The story was okay, but the text was a bit hard to read (small red font on a brown background). Could use music and sound effects, of course, and the little visual glitches (animations happening too late) are a bit distracting. Could be much more interesting if the story was interrupted by progressively more difficult action sequences. As it is, spawning more portals added virtually no difficulty to the game.
But, well done :)

Evil stuff! I wish there was some dark and evil music to go with it!
The gameplay is good but it was quite easy to defend against the hordes, even at the last levels. The walking animation is great, as is the portal! Good work!

Gosh that ending...
I agree that the text should have been a lighter colour or the background against it lighter, but this aside, I thought the writing was fine. The graphics for the ending are really unsettling - that's awesome - and the wallpaper is fantastic looking.
I found the controls to be a bit unresponsive, especially when it came to jumping. Felt like I only jumped when I released the key rather than when I pressed it. Also, some atmospheric audio would be great for a postjam. Anywho, I'm a sucker for storybased games, and I haven't gotten to play that many in this Ludum Dare. I like the idea of having a room that you try to exit but keep ending up in; nice use of tying the theme and having an engaging story. Good stuff!
