Was really fun to sprint into a group and slash up the whole group, with delicous purple blood covering the walls :)
I liked that all the abilities felt useful and that they had cool visual effects.
Was a bit kinky getting used to the controls, but satisfying. Would be fun to try out with a controller.
More Checkpoints would have been nice.
But Really Great Game
the gameplay felt "slow" I'm a giant monster with big hands who can rip 3 guys to small cubes but I cant run and attack at the same time? that is my only problem, I want to run and slash them all
Well done with the atmosphere and the graphics!
Great entry, I want to see you next jam
Was nice to run and slash thorugh ennemies, felt powerful.
But attacking while runnig seems to be a bit random, like, when i press h while running it doesn't always slash, making the game hard and frustrating :(
Cool entry anyway !
I like. neat mechanics, visuals and music :)
Really enjoyed the build up in the music.
Interesting ability/move set.
The main thing holding this back for me is the controls. Add gamepad support and I think you have a winner!

I'm also amazed at how polished the game feels right now - very impressive for a first LD entry.
My only complaint: a way to rebind key / use arrow key for non-qwerty keyboard users! (played the web version)
Love the dark colours and choice of music.
I bit tricky to do wallruns sometimes, and overall movement is sometimes clunky :)
Good music, too
The difficulty is tough but appropriate.
The only real crime are the controls. Using up for jumping is not really my favorite and game like this absolutely needs controller support. Keeping shift pressed at all times really cramps up my fingers, so I wasn't able to finish. That's a real shame because I would have loved to see the end.
Totally agreed with you, controls were not the best, and controller support it's a must in this genre, but we had no time to implement more stuff! you could check out the post-jam version in itch.io for more polished controls (2 control schemes and shift it's not for run anymore!)
All in all, great work!
The difficulty ramps up a little quickly for me (once turrets start popping up), but I know most gamers would be fine with that!
Awesome entry though :D
Since most of the comments stated the good parts, I'll focus on some criticisms.
The main thing holding the game back is the controls. I had to look back at the dare page to find out some things. I didn't know you could sprint, for example, since it never says so in game, and I didn't know eating gave back health at first. Once I figured these things out, the game became much more enjoyable, but there were still a few issues.
Having the press up to climb was really finicky, sometimes, I just couldn't grab the wall, or I would grab and jump off instantly. Scream seemed useless, as I'd mostly just get shot to death when I tried to use it, and running slash seemed to be much more effective. Also, slashing would sometimes bug out and I would fling way more then I was supposed to. The controls could also be a bit sluggish, If I missed a grab or slashed while I wasn't running, you can't turn around until the animation is finished, causing me to just slash or grab in place a few times. The grab range is really tiny, but you get used to it.
Other then those issues though, It was an enjoyable experience. Great work!
I totally agree with you, I should had implemented more hints in-game but sadly we didn't have enough time for that, however, the post-jam version (that has 1 week of developtment, rather than only 72 hours) has some good features about the hints about the controls, another control scheme, and more bugfixes and collision polishments.
I played the Jam hour version. I just checked out the post jam version, and many of my issues have been fixed! Although I would still think about changing the climbing controls if you decide to return to the game, as they were still a bit finicky. Maybe have the climb-wall button on a separate key rather then on jump? I'd think the grab key would work well, since you can't grab in air anyhow.
