One thing that would of been really nice would have been if i clicked away from screen the game continued running. I think there was a play in background option in Unity HTML5 player settings for that but maybe i'm misremembering
Good luck.
To make it better I would advise starting you compo/jam by looking at some color palettes. There are lots of online tools to create a palette, or some existing ones. It would help tighten the look of your game. Maybe you can challenge yourself to a 4, 3 or even 2 tone palette for the next jam. But otherwise a 16/32 palettes gives you plenty of space to design a great entry.
A bit sad that is doesn't work when unfocus, I have to monitors and I would have played it while reading my mail :) ( I would have miss the story though )

I've seen some clickers already, but it's good and fresh to see one that has a more clear condition and some progression. Taking the idea of an idle game and adding mechanics, story and the like, are things that I'd like to see more people experiment with.
In this regard, I like how your game gave you hints and comments in a "narrative" style rather than just making it about getting higher and higher numbers just because mechanics say so. The theme worked well to accomplish that, I'd say.
However, the game does slow down a lot after you get the main upgrades, and it does fall into the pit of numb clicking. A few more late game upgrades would have been nice. But still, the game served a purpose, wasn't too long past that point, and could be properly sped up.
Aside from the pacing towards the end, I'd say I liked this clicker game. It's bold good! Do continue enjoying the jam! :whale:
All-in-all a very solid idle game. Only critique might be adding some visuals to make it feel like your making progress a lot more obviously. Other than that, this was a fun little timekiller. :)
I found the ending a bit too long, nothing new happens between 1000m and the surface and things become so expensive that you don't have anything to do. Maybe just adding one last resource production element that appear at this moment would help things a bit. But that's just nitpicking, well done, that game is really cool !
Terminal was a little confusing at first (I kept reading the updates backwards for some reason).
Was pretty fun :)

There is one misleading thing: the drill button looks exactly like "play" button
