Hulk Rogue-Lite by Kyace

[raw]
made by Kyace for LD34 (COMPO)
You are Bruce Banner and you have recently escaped from your prison cell. Ten levels separate you from freedom. Sneak your way through the prison, grabbing items and using your fists to knock out guards. Or reach inside you for the monster inside and grow. As the Hulk, you laugh at most attacks and ignore pesky things like walls.

This is game uses the libtcod library and is based on a Python Rogue-like tutorial from over Rogue Basin (much thanks to Jotaf who wrote the tutorial). The original code-based was a non-functional game following the tutorial. Included in the zip is the source code and a modified font png to include the Hulk-sized At symbol. Original font included with the libtcod library.

This was a tremendous idea. Hulking out and busting through all the dungeon walls proved to be a surprisingly satisfying experience. Overall, I was actually really pleased with this entry.

Fun little Roguelike, enjoyed playing it! If you want to improve it further, I would advice you to change the keys used for the actions, they felt a bit unfamilliar at the beginning.
