Divey (VR Only) by shadowbrain
Whew. Made it just in time this time!
I kind of over-scoped and ended up with like a half-game, half-swimming-simulator with a submarine...

Divey is a game where you have to manage your submarine's power systems (two massive batteries) by charging them in random abandoned underwater observatories.
Joystick walks if you're on land, if you're in water, hold grip when doing a stroke, release it when pushing your hand forward. Physical swimming!
You grab stuff with the trigger, except for the submarine controller, which you grab and hold with grip buttons. Originally designed with Index controllers in mind, but bindings are set up for all the other devices.

Once I figured out how to walk, it took me a hot minute to figure out where the entrance to the sub was. Once there, it was a bit of a struggle to swim in, but I got it.
Controlling the sub was great! The little controller thing that looks just like my controllers was super fun. Controlling the sub is by far the best part of the game, I wish it had all been about that.
Because... the swimming didn't work for me at all. The first time I played it, I got to the observatory, put on my mask, opened the sub, and then drowned in the airlock. Because I spent the whole 2 minutes trying to swim out the door. The second time I closed the door on myself like ten times, and then got outside, and immediately floated back to the surface, my futile swim gestures powerless against my own buoyancy.
Very ambitious to create a VR swimming mechanic in a game jam, maybe I just didn't understand it, but it didn't work for me. If you have a tutorial or video or something on how to do the swimming, I'll try it again lol.
Oculus Quest 2 with Air Link here.
Some remarks:
1. Game feels pretty empty and hard to navigate underwater.
2. Sometimes battery in hand just disappears but charge indicator is still visible.
3. It is hard to open doors while carrying two batteries.
4. Switch between two moving modes underwater sometimes confuses: you try to swim but nothing happens because you've touched ground.
Hope this will be helpful.
Cool entry!
