funny how such simple game is such buggy mess. your only one mechanic is broken, player can start plastering and still move, moreover, it can heal this way few cracks at the time..

Lovely interpretation of the theme. The UI could be better, though. And more game elements can be added if you want to develop the game further.

The game is cute and the mechanic isn't bad, although needs some polish.

I feel like the game is too easy and doesn't offer any kind of challenge, cracks appearing or growing faster might help.

Losing the game was a bit anti-climactic and unsatisfying, but with more time that could have been fixed.

A cute solid game. (* ̄▽ ̄)b

Cute game + art! Like others have said it needs a bit more polish, and maybe another mechanic to add some variety, but I like the concept!

I don't know how unity works, but I believe the character animation was done by Skeletal animation, and it was amazing! For a game made for COMPO I know it's difficult, but I think in this case feedback sounds would help in the interface, and also some form of power up to increase the character's speed.

I liked the visuals and the way the earth moves is really satisfying. The gameplay could be more entertaining, it is currently a bit too repetitive.

I got to 104, your high score is really too high :p

Nice take on the theme!

I felt it ended too soon (thought I was way ahead at score 33) but I really like the mechanic of the earth spinning. Solid graphics as well. I'm imagining the same concept but where you build and need to attend your own structures on top of it. Good job!

Very good fit for the theme.

An idea to consider: As the cracks continue to get deeper and wider, eventually sections of the earth break off. The player can still circumnavigate the globe by jumping over the crevices formed by the missing pieces, but the earth becomes a lone segment of the circle from where the player can no longer off to other segments. When the last segment falls, it takes the player with it.

I like the possibilities for this game.

I think it's a solid theme idea! I would have liked some additional gameplay mechanics and some music/sound, but I hope you expand on this!

Cute game. I guess Rei Ayanami took a break from fighting angels to fight Vulcanism instead.

You can kind of cheese the game by holding right and mashing the e key, and if you mash E while in the middle of a healing animation you get one point per times you hit E, which probably isn't intended but did let me rack up over 500 points. Cute art, thanks for uploading

I liked the art, but the gameplay is kind of simple, and there aren´t any sound effects.

The art was really nice!

Unfortunately it just wasn't very fun. Maybe it would have been good to had a situation such that the player needed to strategise, but it's basically just patching up as you go until you don't anymore. It is an interesting engagement. Maybe even something like having a left or right arrow pointing to the shortest distance to the biggest crack instead of just having the ! UI would have made at least some interesting decisions for the player.

It was a creative and interesting idea on the theme. Many games have a "world ending" stakes, but this one is literally a planet!!

I hope you learned a lot and had fun during this gamejam and you can apply to the next jam!

Quite a nice game, but not the best. I think that you should focus some more time on making some different encounters (or maybe different skills?). You can just press the left/right arrow and spam E to win the game.

Art is nice, but lacking in content.
Sound also would have made it a lot better.

Got attention because I made mine under the similar topic. The animation is really nice and fluent! But other parts could be more polished such as UI.
Btw, love the little detail that the hair of protagonist is similar to the Earth :)

Fun little game! My main suggestion would be to have the difficulty ramp up more as the game progresses (cracks appear more frequently, or develop faster, etc). Nice work!

Maybe the web build is broken or something, but it seemed a bit too easy.

Screenshot or it didn't happen.

I like games where your goal is to heal things instead of shoot them. Nice job in that department. I also think the graphics are nice for the timeframe. The main mechanic works from a concept perspective. I think having the hazard warning was a good add. I think showing the E to guide players is also helpful but maybe it could change to an icon of some kind eventually.

My suggestions would be:

1) Improve the difficulty ramp. It seemed to stay very constant. It might have gotten harder but it was not that perceptible.

2) From a story telling standpoint you had a start with saving the earth. You should go someplace with it. Provide reasons the earth is dying (there are so many to choose from).

3) Add some sounds and music to improve the experience and storytelling (I saw you removed the rating). I only recently started pushing myself on this too. I feel it adds so much to the game though. It is easy to add a few beeps at least with ChipTone.

All in all, nice job making a game in 48 hours!

the basic concept is nice, but in the end you're essentially walking in one direction and pressing E to heal the crack when you encounter it and go on until after some time you don't get quickly enough to a fault (got to about 110 with this mindless tactics)

I'm shocked to see that comment by @kirkami, that's pretty rude.

First of all, good job on submitting a game! I like your interpretation of the theme, the character was interesting. I like earth healing itself basically.

I think your mechanic is good, it reminds me a little bit bout a mini-game in the original WoW where you had to bandage up injured shoulders to get your bandage mastery.

One thing I noticed is that it's easy to cheese the game by just going full rotation and spamming the heal button. It doesn't always heal everything but it heals a lot. I think you could work with some velocity checks to ensure that's not possible.

Congrats again on making a game!

Im wondering if the movement speed scales with my FOV because I could zoom around pretty fast with no issues. I would like to see some difficulty scaling and maybe some spikes once you hit milestones such as 50, 100, 200 and so forth. I stopped at 200 because I felt like it could go forever, but i might have missed some things that come later?

Its a very cool concept tho and I really like the clean and bright artstyle

I had fun with this one. The pixel art is nicely done and unobtrusive, and I like the fact that the planet rotates under us rather than it being the other way around. The concept of the game is good, and the gameplay, while simple, is made a little more difficult by the fast speed of the player. However, the gameplay does feel like it could use a bit more depth, or one more mechanic or obstacle for the player. I was able to just run around the planet in a straight line and keep fixing holes without any issue, so some difficulty balancing would improve the experience. However, I feel the lack of sound is what hurts this one the most-I could see this game being elevated to the next level with some sound effects for fixing the holes, for the alert indicator, and I think a fast-beat song in the background would help establish a stronger mood.

Overall, nice work, and good improvement over last year. I remember playing *Unstable Minds*, your LD49 game, and struggling to understand the gameplay and becoming frustrated. This one is a lot more clear and forgiving, and I had a lot more fun with it as a result.

Simple mechanic, so the amount of fun from the gameplay is a bit limited. Nice visuals, some sound, even just simple BFxr SFX for the healing and cracking would have been nice. I liked the concept of healing the world with plasters :) .

Although the game is very bare-bones it functions well enough. The way the cracks appear on the earth sprite looks cool. Lack of a proper difficulty curve stings as it feels like you could continue forever. Still, fine job for a compo entry.
