3 out of 3 hits into the black hole — I think I won =) The game looks really good, and everything is drawn with great quality. I also really enjoyed the music. You did an amazing job in such a short time — thank you for the game!

We just submitted our game for Ludum Dare!
Huge shoutout to my awesome team — we pulled off something really special in such a short time. The traditional art gives the game a unique charm, with that handmade feeling that brings everything to life. We had a blast making it, and we hope you'll have just as much fun playing it! \m/,(> . <)_\m/

oh, the wonderful graphics with black holes. Short game/game over comes too soon.

I really like the graphics and the pinball mechanics. I agree with @tero-pulkkinen, however, that you get sucked into the black hole far too quickly. This also makes the controls rather random. I achieved a high score of 1510.
Thanks for your game!

Aquarelle - I love watercolor)))))) The graphics are great, it would be better if the background was more detailed - right now it looks like a big stretched texture! The icons are very pleasant

Ooh, I remember seeing one of you streaming on Twitch during the jam, we were really curious to see how the game would turn out. And it looks great! Very unique art style. Félicitations!

Mega polished, doesnt feel like it was developed in 3 days. Wow. I had fun playing, although it got me a while to get the hang of it. Really good entry. I also adore the quirky art style.

I managed to get just over 1500 points before getting sucked in, but I'm not sure I can take any credit, the thing kinda moves on its own after the initial impulse. I wish I had more control over it for long enough to investigate what bumping into various foodstuffs does. The graphics are neat and detailed and consistent with the overall style -- which is not to be taken for granted!

You can always tell when there's artists on the team, every asset looks amazing. Game was fun and immediate, even if I wish your dash was a little more dramatic, just so you had a last chance to jump out of the black hole. Highest score I got was 2705. Great work!

Interesting pinball twist, but imho too little depends on skill and too much and randomness.

This is gorgeous, wow! It felt like I was playing a game inside of a coloring book. I had a hard time understanding what to do or how the controls worked, but it was fun to bounce around between all your hand-drawn things!

Nice game, especially liked the music! I had a bug a few times that the background shakes a lot after restarting the game. Otherwise it's fun to play!

Cool approach using watercolour graphics, they look great and super surreal! Music was groovy too.

I didn't expect the game to be pinball at all from the description, but it was pretty fun. The circular gravity and fun obstacles give this a neat twist. Initially I expected to be able to move around more after your first launch, and you kind of can, but you move so little it might as well not be an option. Without that, or anything like the flippers in pinball, your score depends almost completely on your initial launch.

This isn't necessarily a problem, but since you can only see a tiny corner of the map before you launch, the game felt like an exercise in randomness. I would either let you see a full zoom-out of the map before you launch, or make your mid-air dash actually move you a decent amount. That way the player could feel more of a sense of control, which is always more fun.

Overall, a fun and zany entry!

Like the art and music. I also like how it's almost like pinball in a circle except you are the ball and you get to control your direction somewhat.

Psychedelic deep-space pachinko shenanigans. XD

I wish the click-and-drag launch had a little more oomph to it - it's a bit too hard to stay in play. This would probably benefit immensely from gamepad controls with analog stick support!

I feel like I don't have a ton of influence over the "ball" here beyond the launch trajectory, and even then it's not super clear how things will go past the first bounce. The small amount of influence I have seems fairly limited though it might just take more time to master.

The graphics are adorable, I love the style here.

There's a ton going on here, I don't fully comprehend all of it. One time while setting up the launch trajectory a bunch of orange cheese spawned on top of me for no obvious reason. It's super chaotic but in a hilariously fun kind of way. I'm not sure understanding the mechanics would change my playstyle at all, so it's probably fine to just lean into it.

Would have been cool to get some stuff like multiball (unless it's there and I never hit it?)

Cool entry, nice work!

Pizza, Pinball, Battlestar Galatica. Hard to tell initially what was going on, but I soon figure out the deal. I felt like I didn't quite have enough authority over where I was trying to go with my limited little charge-bursts. Seems like I ended up in the blackhole about as often as I ended up careening around off of baguettes and cheesewheels, which seems totally normal to have in a 72-hour game. Nice work with the audio - sometimes jam/compo music tends to drill into my brain a little more than I'd like, but not the case here.

I love the visuals and the music. The gameplay idea is pretty fun, but dragging power the black hold seem to be too powerful. But overall a pretty fun little game. Well done.

I got 1085. I love the graphics and it's fun to watch the character bounce around, but I didn't get much value from the shooting meter you could use after launching. It didn't give much power at all. I also wish that you could zoom out in the beginning screen so you could maybe plan the direction you're going at a little more.

Hey it was really cool ! Nearly got 2k i think i was at 1950 :) I felt lost at first but then i understood you can launch from the ship and then it was fun. I loves the graphics and the drag and launch for the player is really good, not too much because it wouldn't make sense but enough to give a little help when needed. Th music was cool too :)

Such a fun and charming game! The watercolor visuals are super unique and really stood out. The movement is chaotic in the fun way, and I love the food themed madness :)

Wow the idea is great! I have also been thinking about making a flipper game where player is the ball! :D Really cool implementation! I think the collisions could use more "juice" and the hitboxes felt too large, but other than that, great job! Also the camera was maybe little bit too close? It has hard to make decisions where to go as you could not see where things are.

I like the visuals, it's really colorful !! I was a bit lost at first, maybe you could add a short description of the goal, what are the items to collect or the bouncing platforms but anyway that was a cool game, congrats !

Solid entry, with great graphics and music!

However, while it's nice to have some randomness and lack of control on some things, I find it too much here to really be fun. My best was about 1500 points, then on my next try, I got 5k points without feeling I deserved it in any way (I even got 500 points before my first launch because the cheese came right at the ship )

It's still a very good gamejam entry, but with a bit more work it would have been more fun imo :)
(And I know what I'm talking about, that's the same for our game )

Wow, that was so much fun! I really love the watercolor graphics, and the music fits very well!
It's a joy to just watch the black hole pinball machine in action, even without trying to interact. :)

Very well done! <3

On one attempt, while charging, I managed to hit a cheese and a lot of its cheese babies, and got in instant high score that I never beat with normal play:

I like the hand drawn art, and after a while the music sounded like something straight out of a classic Sega game (OutRun came to mind!). This was a fun little experience that put a smile on my face. :smile_cat:

The art is superb. The level design is nice, if a bit cluttered? I'm not sure if it's bad or not. I kept trying to get an orbit going to slingshot, but then I'd run into stuff, but I don't think it'd be as fun if there wasn't stuff to try to navigate around. This game is very easy to understand and difficult to master. It was fun playing it.

Catchy music, graphics were decent. Pinball was a different approach, and the black hole made it far too short. Not sure how the theme really fit into this game, but was fun to play for a few til you get sucked into the black hole.

Wow, pinball!

Too much stuff...
Cheese, pizza, rockets, planets, stars, space, more cheese, alien jellyfish, eclairs, cupcakes, alien pineapples, black holes, more cheese and more... (@,@)
Hard to take in...

Jellyfish-aliens do not jump well, there is a desire to make a bigger push.

But otherwise it is funny :)

love the hand drawn graphics and gameplay, was just alil confusing to me (which to hit, how to utilise the walls to get to where i want), but it did get addictive after a few tries. The music complements the graphics well!

Bonkers and fun. It would be nice if the post-ejection launch was more powerful, as I felt like I had very little influence over what happened after the initial launch. In pinball, the ball can be away from the flippers for a long time, but you can hit the ball away with significant force when it comes back to the flippers. Something equivalent to that near your black hole would be a good idea. More of a VFX/SFX on the wormholes would help them read better: it took a while for me to work out that it wasn't just a random glitch that I changed position. Visuals and audio are both the highlights of your game. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
