Favorite game yet. Really liked all the visual effects with the blocks and the bouncing.

Bagatelle is real kinetic feeling, despite their feelings about being flung around and crashing into walls and really painful looking blocks. I'm of the opinion that physics games should be fun to play *with*, and you absolutely hit it where it counts.

It's bright, colorful and pleasant to the senses, while the vibe is contrasted in a fun way with the main character's expressions as you aim. I encountered a grand total of 1 bug where I slipped through the very last gate. Nothin' bad, just kind of funny. The time attack is a pretty fun addition too.

Very interesting game! Got to the first boss and died, more so to the previous puzzle than the boss itself. I enjoyed my playthrough, well done!

I like this! I saw your progress pictures from earlier and it actually turned out quite nice! Though I have to ask, are the 'random' bounces of the heroine truly random or at all guided? Because there was this one spot in the level (pictured below) which I had to go back to and get a picture of, that was so incredibly satisfying the way it seemingly perfectly lined up to bounce up, over and back again.

Overall the 'juice' in this game is incredibly well done - the lightning strikes and subtle camera shake when hitting the yellow boxes was *very* well done and incredibly satisfying, 10/10.

Elsewhere, the controls were simple, easy to use and understand, not frustrating like you might expect from something like this.

I applaud your efforts!

Thanks you all!

@mavvy, I think more than 60% of the time was spent on tweeking (and I could spend the double again). Speed, gravity (that's is apply only after the hit), scale, spacing between blocs (so much time spent on)... Each tweek impacts all the LD . I really appreciate that you enjoy it, the first try was definitively unplayable.

@sharks, there is no random nor _assist_, juste phtysic engine artifacts sometimes  (and bad bloc alignment from LD)
As said justg above I played, tweak, replay tweak again and again... to robustify the expected behaviour. For example the couple of aligned :purple_heart: was added because I spend a lot of stamina by recharging stamina.

I also think making the game simpler (much simpler than at the beginning) gives more tolerance when the bounces don't go as planned, without losing the flow of when everything aligns for _hehe moment_.

Wow, this came together so well!
Great job on the level design! There was a nice progression in difficulty and some really satisfying moments.
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the moving enemies, such a cool idea.

The music and sound effects were bouncy and fun and fit the game perfectly.

I'm impressed with how fluid it was to play and I understand that tweaking it to that level must have taken a lot of work. You did a great job.

My best run was just under four minutes.

Great job! I had a lot of fun. It wasn't too hard (especially with the checkpoints) and it was fun to release the character (who is cute, if mysterious) and hope for the best - it was always exciting to see if it would bounce perfectly or hit an enemy. The fact that the spike blocks disappeared after being hit once made it a lot more forgiving to just bounce around and see what happens. (At least that's how I played it, I'm sure some people deployed more technique in aiming and re-aiming mid-bounce.)

Excellent entry! Really well done level design, it introduces the player to the mechanics cleanly, helping build their confidence to understand the puzzles and how to beat them. Sound effects, visual effects, and the overall art were well done.

Nitpick: when choosing a new direction the character with wig out quite a bit, haha.

One improvement I would make is a slightly better introduction to the “hidden” or “spawning” elements. I really was confused by them at first but once I understood that elements could appear I was on the lookout for them.

Other than that, I would’ve liked the levels to be designed to encourage more bouncing! The bouncing is fun, and seeing the character bounce around is really entertaining so I would encourage you to build more opportunities for that into the levels.

Edit: A link back to your LD page is missing on itch! You should add that as I found this game browsing through itch, and I had to lookup your user to leave feedback!

Awesome.
That's fantastic.
this art sounds so sweet, very cool, top entry
The only thing - the line of path on hitboxes does not always clearly show that I will fly through sometimes the character bounces where the line was straight but it's a small thing
Thank you!

This is really solid! The visuals are great and the animations are snappy, lending to some really satisfying gameplay. I felt like the progression was very well tuned and the length of the game was appropriate for a jam. Nicely done!

I think the stamina meter takes a bit to get used it, at least for me but the figuring out the rest of the game took literally seconds, which is great. I am not a big fan of having to control the aim and movement (drag and release) of 2D games with a mouse, would be good to be able to press space for example and hold it and just aim with the mouse. Other than that the art is really fitting for the game I would say and the music and sound effects are good, also the bounces felt smooth! Looks like a fun concept with the bounces!

Quite a fun game, I feel like you sort of run out of ideas at the very end, the "single snake" screen was much more challenging than the one with two of them and a heart block. Still, the gameplay was great, but I think you went a bit off track with the theme

Somehow weird and very lovely! Very polished and the gameplay is fun. Atmosphere is set just right and the music fits the vibe.

Awesome work!

Awesome little game! Had a lot of fun playing it and trying to beat the previous time. Cool that you added a timer. :)

The only thing, that was a little bit off was the line, where the "ball" should bounce next. It didn't match the actual flying curve all the time correctly.

But apart from that it was everything fine. The music was fitting and the overall visuals were cute and fitting. Good job!
