i love you, too by LDJam user 428646
Match signals using various dials to hear the voice of someone you love.
Click and hold the dials to change properties of the signal.

Tips
- Overlap the signals as best as you can, and then wait for them to match.
- Amplitude is the height of the pulse.
- Frequency is the width of the pulse.
- X-Shift and Y-Shift move the signal in their respective directions.
- Speed is how fast the signal moves.
It's recommended to play in Fullscreen.

As an enjoyer of audio engineering this was a really awesome concept. My only piece of constructive criticism would probably just be that it feels like its lacking a bit of content - the person speaking to you after syncing the wave was really cool, I would definitely have liked to explore a bit more of that!

Artstyle, while simple, gets the job done, sound design is well done, it communicates that you're close well, and I'm certainly glad that there's some extra space for slight wave differences, because without that, this could get really difficult. I would say that you nailed it, because it feels just challenging enough.
I like that you tried to go with a simple story here, which gives it some extra juice. I liked the dialog letter effects, I definitely have to have a look at how it's done, because me want. :eyes:

If you don't use Godot, then I don't think that'll help you much unfortunately :(
I also used the Dialogue Manager addon which pretty much handles all the text scrolling and transitions and whatnot.
I feel like i lost track of it towards the end though.
The input dials work, but become tedious over time.
My big problem is knobs are super awkward on the computer with a mouse. If it was sliders, and potentially ratcheting inputs instead of continuous, that really would've brough it up to the next level in terms of playability.
Great entry!

thanks for your fun entry!

Good job :tophat:'s off ... :thumbsup_tone1:

My entry for this ludum dare is actually pretty similar to this idea of matching waves, but way less polished than yours haha
Great job!
The gameplay was on theme and it was pretty fun to try and figure out how to match the signals up.
What really kept me drawn in was the story telling. The vagueness of it all kept me asking questions, but there were enough tidbits that kept me intrigued.
Good job!
It's shocking how much fun I had simply turning dials. So much so, that I'm giving you the **It's Shocking How Much Fun I Had Turning Dials** award!

Here's my recorded playthrough to provide maximum feedback:

I don’t know if it is intentional or not, but I had the feeling that the wave parameters are discrete by rotation. This is a very correct approach. Plus I liked the work with text. Pretty good, thanks.
At first I turned the speed dial manually trying to match. Then realized I could actually just match it closer, and not have to track by hand like that. lol.
The text was hard to read playing in browser. I just guessed at which knob did what at first.
This was really satisfying to play!
I love it!! This concept is so easy to grasp quickly without much guidance! I especially love the feedback sound effect when you're about to tune to the correct waveform; I've always felt that being able to hear voices on a radio by tuning to the same frequency is like magic... It's so perfect for this theme! I also love the story! I appreciate the small challenges in this level design; they give me the determination to overcome difficulties and connect successfully, making me very focused.
the signal matching gameplay cured some of my unresolved ptsd from undergrad. i really enjoyed it so full points on fun from me.
Absolutely no notes - perfect entry!
Regardless, I liked it overall! Strong entry.
I see it similar to @adam-gould. Here is my idea: It would be cool if you start with just two dials and after each "round" you get an additional dial. Would have gave the player a progression in gameplay and also a progression in difficulty.
Apart from that the little story was well written. I wanted to know what will happend next. You put the different story pieces in an exciting order. I like the little details, like the sound differences in the voices. The controls felt good and the green wave is a nice touch, which gives a good visual feedback.
