Robbie Robot by Firesplash Entertainment
Hi, this is Robbie the Robot
If playing WebGL: Please play in Fullscreen mode - Else the GameOver screen looks quirky :D I failed on that.

Robbie is a very cheap robot, so you will have to do lots of maintenance, meaning you have to put oil on him every ten seconds. If you fail to do so, the controls will get issues and after some time ultimately, Robbie might break.
Controls are very simple: A/D, Arrows or left stick on a controller to move - Space, Ctrl, or A-Button on a Controller to jump. Oil cans refill the Oil-Level, when collected. The yellow orbs allow you to do a double (triple, quadruple, ...) jump, when jumping right when Robbie's wheels touch them. Robie has three lifes and you can safely try everything during the tutorial. The actual game starts when you jump on the orange platform.
Your objective: Get as far in the parcours as possible, in the quickest possible time. It's a simple platformer. This time, we added no highscore, so what about sharing your GameOver-Screenshots? :)
This is the first ever COMPO-Experience I ever made so let me know what you think...

@milq Unfortunately we (me and the stream-chat  ) lost a half day due to a wrong decision and that time was missing in the end to add a few more complicated patterns and powerups/downs
@greenphox That was exactly what I wanted to achieve! The game plays on a green blackboard. Totally meant to remind players of school times.
thank you all for your appreciated feedback!
Thanks for your review @0x-void-x0 !
The only thing, is that I wished the beginning was shorter, because it's a bit too long for the easy part, and if you die later, you have to start over. The later part got more interesting and challenging. I liked that you offered two paths many times, an easier one, and a harder with the oil reward.
Congratulations on your first Compo entry!
Technically the game gets harder with increasing score (the level generator has three difficulty stages)
For a Compo game this isn't bad, probably even better than what I could make so good job :)
I actually also noticed that control flaw. The player should be able to control Robbie as soon as it respawns actually. This is a bug.
This was my first time I used the unity input system and it seems like I got issues catching up when players press the movement keys while robbie is not yet respawned.
The straight falling was not actively intended but I also did not take counter-measures, meaning this is a point I will hopefully do better next time :)
This is alos why the camera moves adaptive to your play-speed :)
Thanks for the review!
Is there an end ?
Anyway, the game is really enjoyable and make me trying to improve my distance !

Saw you post on the front screen about needing votes, in case you don't know, you will get more votes if you rate and comment on other games. It causes your game to get more visibility in the list.
Distance: 318.67
Time: 108.32
Score: 2902
Happy to see a tutorial in there. The implementation with the skip button and all that was pretty solid.
Thanks for the review!
@organicpencil Thank you! Having the tutorial embedded into the game fluently was an important detail I wanted to have in there and people seem to like that approach. Happy to see this :D
