[raw]
made by Jeremia for Ludum Dare 51 (JAM)

Multiplayer Only

Both players adopt measures to defend their own treasure.

Afterwards both players take a shot at getting the other guys treasure.

This repeats indefinitely.

The game is played in 10 second segments.

Controls: - Pick and Place With Mouse and Left Mouse Button [LMB] - Move with WASD or Arrow Keys

Tips for connecting to another player:

  • Make sure you are in the same network, like a LAN-Party.
  • Make sure you are in the same subnet.
    • Most of the Time you are on the same subnet if the first three numbers in your IP Addresses are the Same
    • e.g.: 192.168.1.111 and 192.168.1.222 are probably in the same subnet
  • You have to write the IP-address you can see in the other players dropdown in your own textbox.
  • One player has to press "Host", and the other player has to press "Join"

    - You either have to allow the firewall-access-popup or disable your firewall entirely.

I played with my friend but i think it is a bit hard to start. You can try "Photon" to help you make multiplayer games.
Anymay, it is a good idea.

@probe2 could you elaborate on why it is hard to start?

Does your game engine (Unity?) support Mac exports? Would love to be able to play

@pete-thorne Yes, I am using unity, wich could do a Mac export. But I don't have any experience with Macs, and have no way of testing it. If you want, you could download the sourcecode and build a Mac export yourself.

@jeremia thanks, it should just work in most cases to be honest, I'm in a similar position with Windows and Linux builds but I just upload them and hope!

Thanks for the heads-up about the source code. I don't have Unity installed, and it's too large for me to keep around for the odd build from source. I use Godot and it has a much smaller footprint.

if you change your mind about Mac builds let me know

Great game !! really good concept. Got stuck in middle for a while but figured out the way later. Awesome work for a limited time jam. You should go with this concept further. Please do check out my submission as well.

@baylock did you even play the game?

You left the same canned comment on, at least, this game:

Interesting idea. I wasn't able to play with anyone else, but I played through the help area and it seems like a fun concept.
