Elos - a progressive third person fighter by LDJam user 298987
Fight. Upgrade. Survive.
Elos is a third person progressive fighter made in Unreal Engine.

Enemies are coming at you every 10 seconds. Big and small, tough or weak, these zombies are bloodthirsty and desperate for revenge. Do you have what it takes to fend them off as you progress through 3 handcrafted environments?
Minimum System Specs: 4GB RAM, average 6 year old processor (i.e. i5 6th gen)
Recommended System Specs: 8GB RAM, recent processor, dedicated graphics
How to install: download the ZIP file, extract it to a location of your choosing, and run Elos.exe inside of the Windows folder. Note that if a blue Windows Defender SmartScreen window pops up, you must click "More info" and then "Run Anyways" to start the game.
*Known Issues: *
If an Intel Graphics Driver error appears, you can try dismissing it. Some users reported the world being red - selecting a graphics preset from the Options menu sometimes mitigated this. This is an issue with Unreal Engine, and not with the game.
The "Fullscreen" graphics setting sometimes does not work.

Gameplay was simple, but the game was put together well. Good job!
also, I've never heard of Quadspinner Gaia before. Looks like a really powerful tool and I'll definitely be looking into it!
Thanks everybody else for the amazing feedback!
Wondeful works!
Unfortunately the un-optimization of the graphics, as you've mentioned, hit hard. Even on Low graphic settings. Optimization is always tricky, especially for jam games that are going for higher end graphics.
(also according to your profile, we're in the same state, what's up)
I think thematically it's a bit weird as seeing grass/flowers and mountains combined with military and robots, but I guess whetever works ).
The mecanic of power-up is great. The turorial in the menu is cool to have.
IMHO It was a bit too easy/slow, maybe having directly more ennemies spawning each 10sec would be great.
I think the other comments cover most of the issues, but I'll note some key issues I found while playing:
- Camera collision is annoying. This should be easy to fix if you're using the typical camera setup.
- The default character and mixamo models are kind of garish and don't fit the game at all. I guarantee, I *promise*, anything you could make yourself would be better than these... things...
- Character animations blending together made combat feel very bad. The animation transitions need to be a lot tighter, or even removed entirely, and there should be no ambiguity between blocking and attacking. Also it was very unclear where the attack hitbox actually was.
- The shop is a bit of a grind, but once you get your coin multiplier up, you kind of blast through the levels.
- The performance requirements are too heavy. I have a high-end system and was barely able to run it. Also, I think you published the debug build?
I liked the music, and the terrains were nice.
Again, clearly has some heart in it. I'll be looking forward to your next game.
