Nice game!
Love the simple but very effective aesthetic!
Controls are smooth and responsive!

I was really bad so some check point could have help me!
Plus, it looks like the red dimension jump do not allow to jump over the first obstacle.
Thus, when there is 2 red dimension one after another, you just have to wait 20 seconds before playing which is a little bit frustrating...

Anyway, that a cool game, well done !

As the other commenter mentioned, checkpoints would have helped but it's a good concept! Gaming out what is the best dimension to bypass a given obstacle is fun.

Really smooth and responsive controls. Absolutely essential for a platformer and good game feel! Art Style really strong. Would be interesting to see the source code and how you made / deployed it?

Awesome concept! I know it's part of your design but I would love a better way of knowing what can be done in each dimension

Really nice adaption of the theme! Each dimension added an interesting change but it would have been nice to not get the same dimension several times since some obstacles became very difficult/impossible to overcome. I liked the minimalistic art style! One thing I noticed is that if you walk all the way to the left in the beginning of the game I think you fall down on the wrong side of the map and get stuck there.

I love the simple style of this game and the character is cute! Music is nice and simple and it matches the artstyle.
I got the red theme (jump height altering theme) three times in a row so I was stuck for 30 seconds right at the beginning. Personally I would drop that mechanic altogether because it doesn't make the game just a bit harder but rather impossible in some parts. Maybe there could be another level where jump height isn't a key mechanic to make progress?
Other than that I think your game works really well. As someone mentioned before the controls work really nice which is always super important in a platformer.

Fun idea and great use of the theme! Your pixel art style really works well and the game feels fun to play. My only wish is that there was a checkpointing system so I didn't need to restart from the beginning. Otherwise a really strong entry!

It was.. HAAAAAAAAARD! But i really loved the art, and theme song was great. Some good ideas too for such a innocent looking platformer. GG

Neat. Art and sounds and the idea itself is super. I just had two things which made me crazy: sometimes I died in a red effect, and starting with the red effect at the beginning... you cannot do anything. Ok, you wait 10 sec, and you get again a red effect. I got 3 red effects in a raw, which meant 30 sec wait as I cannot jump high enough. I also would appriciate some early checkpoints :) Besides these, great idea and game!

Cool platformer. I think the balancing between the dimensions could have used a little more tweaking and I would have preferred to use WASD instead of arrow keys.

It does not allow me to vote unfortunately. Interesting opening of the topic and good application of game patterns. I think with this gameplay, you should add save points so that the player will retain some progress in spite of failure. Also, in my humble opinion, it is not necessary to repeat consecutively the same game pattern as in view of the features of the level design, I was 20 seconds just standing at the start after dying on spikes at a time with low gravity, that is, a total of I spent just under 30 seconds of inactivity, waiting for a new pattern because I could not jump on the very first platform. At the beginning encountered a bug exit outside the location, which did not allow without a reboot to continue the game experience. I apologize for my terrible English and I hope you did not take my words above negatively. I sincerely wish you don't scrap the idea, polish it and release it on the same mobile platforms. Good luck!

The concept for this game is immaculate. The different ways that your gravity and things are affected by the game is really good  and the art is great, HOWEVER

This game has some of the most frustrating level design of any game i've ever played. the first jump CANNOT be made if you are in the red - causing you to wait for ten seconds. Infact, almost none of the game accomodates for the red mode! and with all the instant kill spikes (especially the stairs!) if you die your going all the way back to the beginning - with the long, winding tunnel with nothing in it. after that is a moving platform that seemingly is only there to invalidate 2 of the dimensions. if the game had a better start location (one that is not followed by a winding path, effectively forcing you to change dimension before even the first jump) it would be significantly better.

overall, really good concept with some bad level design.

I like this! As mentioned elsewhere, would be seriously helped if the level was beatable in different ways in each of the different dimensions. The art and polish are great though.

This is a really cool concept. I like most of the dimensional changes, however, the red one is just plain annoying. Checkpoints would be a nice addition, and maybe a few more sound effects but other than that, the gameplay is good and the graphics are really appealing. Good game.

Love the concept but it is too hard. I agree that checkpoints are badly needed. My main complaint is the monotone and repetitive music. Otherwise, it is great, just a bit frustrating :)

It's a fine concept but i don't think it really works. The level design and the dimension mechanic don't complement each other, one of the two needs some revision for the idea to really work. The different dimensions as-is only really serve to punish the player for not waiting around.

Hey, everyone! I wished i could reply to each comment individually, but unfortunatelly this is the only way i found to do it.

1. Checkpoints: It was planned to be on the game and I know it's terribly needed. I really did not have time to do it (I published the game 2 minutes before the due time) because I only had monday to do it, and I don't know if I could edit it since it's my first ludum dare. I get the frustation you feel.

2. The red dimension: high gravity. I don't know where my mind was putting that dimension into the game . I only noticed the problems it caused on the final of the jam, so I gotta use the same excuse as in point 1.

3. The bug where you fall if yuo go to the left: Sorry, my dumb mind just forgot to block that way. That's basically it.

4. YES, I am going to reutilize this project and make a better game, now with proper time and better level design. It's gonna be published in itch.io once it's done.

Thanks for all the good reviews

Nice concept, and the core-idea is relatively well excecuted!

Here are some aspects I think could be improved:

- Sometimes the controls feel a bit floaty and the screen-scrolling can't keep up with the character when falling.

- It would be nice to have additional visual cues besides the color-change when changing dimensions. Perhaps a HUD-element of sorts which would show different symbols indicating the mechanic-change? This would be of help for any player, but essential to a color-blind person.

- It would also be possible to signal the mechanic-change by using a variety of different sound-cues.

Keep on jamming!

Nice job! Challenging platformer that I really enjoyed. My only suggestion would be to make the background color always represent the same player effect (example: purple always acceleration, red always super jump). Checkpoints are a nice touch.

Very interesting game. The level is a bit short but it's enough to show your ideas.

Compared to the other dimensions. Red is almost completely positive effect. If you enter the red dimension you can easily pass almost any part of the level. I think it would be more interesting to have some disadvantage in each dimension.

overall well done.

Really nice and well made :) the dimensional changes create really fun challenges. I do have to admit that the spikes hit boxes felt a biiit too big. At times I felt like I was being punished before I had even touched it (I think you're using a rectangle/square hitbox for the spikes).

Really good game. Controls were smooth. The different mechanics every 10 seconds were fun and added some challenge and variety to the platforming. The art style is cute. Some sound effects for falling on the spikes or jumping would've been great but otherwise a solid game

Such a fun game! I love how the rules change every time the dimention changes. A great touch to make the counter reset everytime you die. SOme feedback I have:

- I thought it was a bit strange that you can die by touching the spikes from the side
- The music is repetitive and gets dull very fast
- The graphics are very well done and cute

P.s. I can't rate this one, did you opt out for rating?

Great job! The controls felt pretty good and the theme was well thought out. Art style was nice and simple and the background color changing mechanic was cool for when abilities changed. One thing, the spike hitboxes are too big, probably want to shrink those a lot. All the gimmicks/mechanics were very polished, I didn't personally love the slippy/ice one for when there were lots of small jumps in a row but that's part of the challenge. But yeah overall great job!

Nice short game, really liked the art style and the music. Especially liked how the auto jump dimension was timed up with the beat. As others have said the hitboxes on the spikes need to be changed as they are square and you can die jumping through the corners which are invisible. Apart from that though, great job!

Really cool concept and the art was really nice, I had a hard time at one part, only to realize I needed to wait for one of the changes to be able to make the jump, could see this being another one of those games like jump king and such, as the mechanics really fit that I feel, great job!

That was fun! I enjoyed the music, it got me hyped to play! Especially when the player character would jump on the beat of the music in the green dimension
Once I finished the game the first tim and saw my time (174.9), I played over and over again to try to lower my time as much as possible.

I enjoyed the different dimensions, but the "stairs" and the jump after that towards the end seem (nearly?) impossible with some of the dimensions. The pinkish purple one, where the acceleration is really slow, was my least favorite.

The hit boxes of the dangerous triangles seemed a bit harsh, I always died before I really seemed to touch them.

Awesome LD entry, congrats!

This was really enjoyable! (Note: I believe I played the post-jam version as I tried the Netlify one.)

The graphics and music are very simplistic but they work nicely, and the controls are smooth. Well, depending on the dimension one is in, of course... The music did start to annoy a bit near the end but I think that was only because it took me so long to finish. :-D

Really nice platformer game with an unusual gameplay and a neat pixelated aesthetic. Every mechanics works well as expected. Colliders are pretty good. The background music is really short, but it fits with the concept. Changing the behavior each 10 seconds is fun - I did not expected some behaviors... I have fun playing. Thank you for this entry ++

Nice short-and-sweet platformer. The way the controls could change mid air really god me. I felt the difficulty and checkpoint spacing was pretty appropriate. Maybe the low-friction dimension was a little too hard, but I made a little progress there. Good job!

Short but sweet! Looks very nice (I especially like the little plants and the cute character) and while the music sounded good, the short loop got grating quickly 😅 Mostly felt good but I think the acceleration could be tweaked; even in a non-slippery dimension with normal jumps it was very finicky to move not too much and not too little to clear the staircase with spikes. Sound effects are nice and fit right in. Would've been nice to see more levels of course but I liked the ones there were. Checkpoints much appreciated. Good use of the theme, but I often got the same dimension 3-5 times in a row. I think they would reset at checkpoints, but were they supposed to be random otherwise? On the whole a nice game with some minor issues, good work!

Hey pretty cool! It's a very fun idea and the platforming physics are super solid! The spike hitbox felt a little big but overall it works pretty well. The low-friction dimension made it a little hard to progress though given the amount of precision needed for the platforming  but other than that the difficulty felt well-balanced. Music was bit repetitive, but, you know, it's 48 hours, haha. Nice work!
