Limits & Theme

Plan was to add 10 second requirement to keep the dark lord at bay. It did not happen. At least the theme contributed in making up the premise for the game. Became a pretty short "experience", but it worked quite nice with the short time.

I adore this game. For such a simple premise, I had a great time with it. I especially liked the secret New Game+. Amazing job!

The panic I felt when I realized how slow the sheep was...

Love how the button presses give visual feedback on the controls screen. Pico seems like fun to develop with. Great job!

This reminds me of a game from my childhood (in graphics/style, not concept obviously haha) but I can't remember which. I wasn't exactly sure what I was going for. I DID have fun bowling sheep!

didn't quite understand the purpose of what i was doing. But the minute I saw i was a sheep it was like "oh f**k!"

Really cool! You have no idea how trippy it is, trying to run off screen, and suddenly, you end up running back to the summon circle. The sheep twist was excellent, too!

Beautiful game and nice crunchy effects! Was very entertaining to experience the first two loops. However, I'm not certain if I am missing something or if it just keeps looping. Nonetheless it was a fun experience. Nice work!

Great experience! The game is very well done and all aspects of the game are very, very well packaged.

Maybe a little more music is missing. For my taste, I prefer these experience-type games to have background music or specific SFX to keep me tense.

But come on, I can only congratulate you on this outstanding game!

Yay, a Pico8 game! The storytelling along the bottom really adds to the ambiance. The animation and visual feedback are really nice. Of course like you said I'm not really getting how the theme ties into it but regardless it's a nice little game.

PS: Did you opt out of ratings? It's not letting me rate your game. I think it might need to go in the 'Extra' category if you don't want people to rate it?

@ruthiepee Thanks for playing and giving feedback! Yea, I kinda scrapped the theme. Planned for it in the beginning but in the end it wouldn't add anything to it, so I didn't add it in. Yes I did opt out of ratings, since I want to enjoy the jam more casually... but still in compo since I did it in time & solo etc. :D

Very cute game! Loved the little flavor text, especially when playing as the sheep. The SFX were also nice and powerful. Very charming. Great job!

@kory you have to `EXPORT INDEX.HTML` and then ZIP both files with `zip mygame.zip index.*`

The upload part itself is a little fragile. You might need to upload a couple of times

As for the game itself, I don't have anything to add to what everyone else already said. Very cute. Best sheep sacrifice simulator I ever played. Baaah

absoloutely great game in here. from the transition, the animation, the style, the art. I love how the eye blinks in, and for some reason i love looking at the character just holding the sheep above its head. its great how you turn into the sheep and get thrown in but it might be funny if your able to run away. anyways probably the best game so far

Very fun little short experience! Really reminds me of what I try to do when I enter these sorts of jams. (cough, though a lot better in execution.)

Only negative since I want to say something constructive, was that I didn't quite understand that the first sheep I grabbed started hovering. Maybe something can be done with the blob shadow to make that fact clearer? And the sound effects was a bit hard on the ear.

Other than that, brilliant!

Really enjoyed this. I wish there was a other options instead of sacrificing the sheep. I was definitely terrified as one of the sheep and I wish it was easier to escape the man. Awesome graphics too!

Loved the art style, the sfx were amazing, the mood top tier. And throwing was fun as hell! People say its possible to escape as the sheep but i couldnt manage it.... Great entry tho!

After having experienced the plot twist, I tried to save the sheep in my 2nd playthrough. I tried to throw them out of bounds but it teleported them directly into sacrifice area.
