Asteroids: Driving Home by Rokevicius

Description:
Dad is driving you home. You're sitting in the back seat, listening to the vibey music and playing your favorite game. You can barely see your console screen. Every 10 seconds car passes, lighting up your screen console.
Controls:
- WASD to MOVE
- SPACE to SHOOT
If you fail, the game will restart, so relax to the catchy tune and shoot some asteroids.

Don't get what happens every 10 sec (a car outside incoming?)
Well done!
@xorel @joshua-weggartner Thanks!!
@wildmusketeer Thank you! I really tried to nail the nostalgic feeling, kind of pulled everything from my own memory driving home and playing on my console :D
@wavertron Toyed with the idea of making it go blank, but changed it back later. I really wanted to nail the cozy/relaxing feeling, making screen go blank would (maybe) take away from that. Thanks for the feedback tho!
Small note - I like your version of Asteroids more :) The original asteroids didn't have any inertia slowdown. I guess in that respect it was "realistic" that once you started moving in a direction you would continue without slowing down but I always found that made the game frustratingly difficult to control. This version that you have here you slow down to a stop naturally. I find this way easier to control.
I would be cool if the screen is lit as well when the car passes, because it is not disturbing at all :)
The music is also really cool. Do you compose it?
The graphics work really well, you could maybe reproduce the resolution of the Game Boy screen to be more authentic and reduce pixels size difference with the rest :wink:
