Lab Accident by LDJam user 147227

[raw]
made by LDJam user 147227 for Ludum Dare 51 (COMPO)

One evening, tired scientist split the bottle of new essence. Hope he can get antidote without being noticed of breaking plants. The guards are afraid of anyone who breaks plant, ignoring an appearance. Maybe the lab technician can tie himself to something.

The game is really confusing, it doesn't sounds logic that guards only see us when falling and they don't see us attatching to objects. But the game works so that's still a good point ! :)

The mechanic has great potential! I really like the concept that anything has two-side effects.

The animation of the charactor is smooth. Nice job!

By the way the sound effect when I won the game truely surprised me and made me laugh XD

Decent concept, a bit rough around the edges, but that's what you expect from a game jam :)

I love the animations and the creepy changes every time. It took me a long time to figure out what to do, even with your added screenshots. The left leg of the player might be a bit to similar in color to the wall, you can barely see it at times.

Animations are cool but music and gameplay is pretty meh. You should probably improve it after the gamejam because it is a really cool concept. Overall great experience

I like the concept, but it took me a while to understand what was going on. I feel like you have a good idea that you can continue working on to create something really good! Nice submission :)

I like the atmosphere, but I can't figure out how to play this game. Perhaps a tutorial or controls can help.

I find this game quite charming in an absurd way. I didn't read the guide, so I was dropped in without much idea what I was supposed to do. It was a gameplay loop of slowly figuring out mechanics and having these aha experiences on how the game behaves. It gave me an experince I haven't had in a long time, where I had no idea how to play the game at first and slowly figured it out, which was very satisfying.

Getting to the shelf with the antidote and managing to get the bad ending by transforming near it made me go "Oh of course!", as it was a very fun twist that I couldn't foresee. Winning and getting to listen to that beautiful song was just as great.

This is exactly what I love about jam games, because they don't necessarily have the responsibility of normal games to be easily understood or user friendly, and so they can just focus on pure creativity. Good work!

The game is overall okay, but the gameplay idea is not super clear. But I like the games atmosphere.

Nice unique entry! The simple graphics are quite effective and charming. The transforming sound works well and the story is interesting. Reminds me of Moon Knight with the black-outs

Cool atmosphere! Add some controls and hints to this page so I have a better idea how to proceed!
