Drum Dance Showdown by cyberfrank
Compete in a hasty 10 second dance-off by programming the correct dance patterns. Not to mention you only get 10 seconds to learn your moves.

🏆 Post LD version
This version solves the issue that the game restarts from the very beginning when you fail a level, which was something that many people commented on. And to celebrate the great voting results, this version also contains an endless free play mode!

On management - I did not immediately understand that you need to click on the rectangles with the mouse. Can you add any additional hint?
cute graphics, I like how the drum machine makes the little man move around like a puppet
very elegant way to connect an abstract pattern to something more relatable
"coming up" symbol very appreciated, it's nice that the body parts come one at a time so it's not too confusing
i like how you highlight the body parts
this is probably a very nice way to introduce the idea of drum machines/sequencers to a fresh mind
fun! thanks for pulling this out of your neurons along with the composed music!
Definitely the lack of checkpoints is holding the game back a lot, but the core loop is fun, and I really enjoyed the soundtrack!
The graphics are simple but clean, the palette is nice. For the initial couple of loops the music felt great and I was looking forward to the variations of both the music loop and the drumkit (+ the movements of the little dude).
The gameplay itself could have been improved. The reference and the user input are far away so it's a lot of semi-tedious back and forth without much real challenge to it. The timeline bar is also far away: maybe you could add an indicator of time on the right-hand side?
This is my all around 5 star-er.
On one hand I think the gameplay is a bit too unforgiving, on the other hand I would have enjoyed some variation on each run through.
But I had a great time! Thanks!
