10 seconds from hell by Simone

[raw]
made by Simone for Ludum Dare 51 (JAM)

An Amazing game!

WASD (or arrows) to move, mouse and left mouse click to shoot.

Every 10 seconds a new wave of enemy will spawn, trying to kill you. Kill enough of them and a portal for the second level will appear :)

NOTE: the webplayer have a new feature (BUG) making the display of the UI not optimal. If you can, download the executable (still on itch.io)

Awesome little game that fits the theme pretty well. i like the graphics for the level and the 2d sprite enemies were cute and funny when they died and made a weird sound. Congrats on your first Jam entry!

I think having the camera rotate with where you're looking could be fun and making the enemies white transparent. Good job on your first jam though, you guys did great! The game's responsive and plays well.

Thanks for the feedback! We had been thinking on making a rotatable camera and adding more levels. The idea of endless waves where you switch between multiple arena's with some kind of upgrade system for your laser damage etc was also pitched but since we barely got this to properly work, we just went with it :) I am thinking of implementing these things just to get some more experience

Hey, congrats on getting a team together and finishing a jam! I appreciated the enemy artwork. Making a 3d game for 72-hour jam is pretty ambitious, so nice work on aiming high.

Hahahah really fun game to play. The soundtrack is amazing (including the mouth sound). Having the 2d enemy in 3d look nice and the paint aspect makes it unique, the mouvement and shooting part is smooth. I encounter a few bug (died for no reason).

GG for finishing your first Game jam. (it was my first time too)

I am amazed at how much UI this game had. For a game jam this was a solid effort. Obviously there is work to be done in the graphic department but that didn't stop you from publishing a game. I've also had a proble where I got hit for apparently no reason - a bit frustrating.

I have noticed that the game in the web browser has more issues than the downloadable one. In the web interface, I got hit randomly too and it was much harder to finish the game than in the local copy.

I almost had a heart attack first wave. Killed like 2 mobs, I'm like okay okay it's nice. Going between 3 walls, going back and BAM, like 20 mobs all on me (first and second waves). After I understand that the waves have more then 2 mobs, it was really nice. Love that there are many maps. Too short! Really nice for a first jam. Nice dead sound xD. Would love to saw the person in action when she makes the sounds xD. Great job!

Congratulations on your first game and jam! A great game overall but I believe it can be more challenging as waves passes and the music for some reason was popping out.

Overall the gameplay is nicely polished and feels finished to play. An issue i have however is that the graphics are kind of all over the place with no real coherant theme. I think if there was a consistent style for everything the overal quality would increase massively.

Such a fun game. Only problem with it was it didn't have more levels. Did you use AI for the announcer voice?

@jakubbala I see your point, but we had a team of people new to game dev, none of which was an expert in drawing/modelling, therefore we preferred to give everyone a chance to add their own style to the game :-)

@langit no, the announcer was one of our team member... she was born to do that :-D
