The Last Minute Gallery by LDJam user 196403

[raw]
made by LDJam user 196403 for Ludum Dare 51 (COMPO)

You are the director of a new indie art gallery! But it's opening night, the journalists are just ten minutes away - and the delivery with your paintings is nowhere to be seen! You're left with no choice but to make the art yourself; but with so little time, you only have ten seconds to make each one! Can you make opening night a success?

A little weird, but also pretty funny. The drawing did not work super well, but it was okay for a jam game. The story was funny and I overall had fun playing the game. Well done.

I hoped this entry would be funny and it exceeded my expectations! Very good and a unique take on the theme, I really enjoyed it and it had a good level of finish to it as well with the tour of the gallery and the story elements. Well done! :)

Haha fun little game! Nice to see the gallery in the end, with some work to get there. Solid story. Nice entry!

One of the better uses of the theme I've played. Fun, funny and engaging. I really loved seeing all the dumb stuff I had drawn at the end there.

Great, the combination of the prompts and the music made me question my own sanity at some points.

Who would've thought that painting such beautiful artworks would lead to the end of the world? :(
Great concept. 18 was maybe a little to much, but had fun overall!

This was brilliant, the story telling, sudden music stopping at a dialogue line, the prompts. I had a good laugh from start to finish. Really incredible and you should be proud!

I don't know about anyone else, but I formed a strong attachment to my paintings, almost all of which were just frowny faces and maybe a stick figure in the background. Surprisingly effective emotional manipulation for a fun little humor game. Good job!

I love the concept here. Frantically drawing a bunch of pictures and then seeing them in a gallery was fun.

I wanted smoother painting; if I moved the mouse too fast it left a series of dots instead of a continuous line. When you only have ten seconds, you need to be able to move fast. The music was... I don't know if you were going for avant-garde parody, but it didn't really work for me.

This sort of game works better as a multiplayer party game (Drawful), where everyone gets to laugh at their friends' drawings, but it was still fun here.

To think the world would face an almost apocalyptical, unprecedented economical and military collapse due to the benis-drawing skills of a now hyper-oligarch, color me bamboozled, snusk'd and flabbergasted.

Truly the most game ever made.

Wonderful, funny, and weird. Kind of terrible and kind of amazing, both of which contributing to make it amazing. Good stuff.

Wow, that was a nice and complete game experience :-)
A funny and complete story, weird music (a bit too weird though...), a complete menu with options, and a nice galery room, and a very happy ending ;-)
The only downside is the slightly "unsmooth" drawing experience, but all in all a very well done game!

This was delightful. Subtle point - I like how you made it very clear from the beginning that there would be 3 minutes of drawing. That was pretty useful in order to keep us motivated to the end.

The story really cracked me up, beginning and end. Fun game!
