The Cult of the Ancient One by someone
The ancient one stirs in the depths.
IT demands sacrifice.
Build an almighty statue in ITs honour to appease IT and prevent the prophesied apocalypse.
In the meantime, sacrifice living beings to pacify ITs anger.
A sacrifice must me made every 10 seconds or the ancient one will get angry. Make sure you have enough victims. This will happen automatically by any idle cultists, so make sure you leave at least one free to perform the sacrifices.
You must go to the other locations to get more sacrifices.
Complete the statue to win.
Controls:
- Middle mouse button to rotate the camera, mouse wheel to zoom.
- WASD to pan the camera
- Left click, or left click and drag to select cultists
- Right click to issue orders
- Hold shift to chain orders
- Hold ctrl, left-click-drag to order attack/collect on multiple targets - selection box goes red.
- R to restart
You can recruit new cultists by putting captured people in the chair next to the prison.
Don't forget to tell some cultists to build the statue.
Click on the directional marker to switch to the other locations, or use F1, F2, F3.
You need to use the map menu to specify where cultists will go when the use this marker. (Clunky, Needs reworking)
You start off with plenty of chickens to give you some time to figure out the game without running out of sacrifices immediately.
Edit game.ini to change the resolution.
Embedded version now working! Yay.
I also fixed the scroll wheel in firefox - it seems the scroll amount varies by browser.
Also added 1,2,3 keys as an alternative to f1,f2,f3 since the F keys do extra stuff in browsers.
Seems the selection circles and order lines were not appearing in some browsers. This is now fixed.
Started on a post compo version. Currently it just adds an intro sequence and fixes a ton of bugs.

Only tested this in firefox and pale moon though. It would be good to know if it works in other browsers.
Hopefully the embedding gets fixed soon so this workaround becomes unnecessary.
So the animation work is really nice here!
The game is... confusing and the camera and controls need work
I suggest a simple progression where users learn the basics step by step and you build the game up over time.
but a crazy mad ambitious concept - well done!
I ran out of time to add an intro. I hoped the game description would be enough but evidently not.
Edit: They are now fixed.
@ian-dejong It is a custom built c++ engine I have been using for all my jam entries.
