I gold starred every level except for Sniper and Purge (and obviously Hero because I didn't unlock it), this game is really fun. The aesthetic is so charming and all of the little design elements (from the target on the stump to the way you pick up arrows when you land a shot next to them) are beautifully done. Definitely my favorite game from the jam so far.

I wanted to gold star every level, but Sniper was just too hard and unforgiving; I had to stop trying that level after 40 minutes because my fingers got really tense. I think if you extended the time window just a bit (8.5 or 9 seconds instead of 8) it would feel like it has a bit of leeway from the perfect run.

Some other tiny pieces of feedback:
- I love the procedurally-placed grass clumps, but I think they make it harder to keep the grounding lines of the target front of mind.
- I think my favorite levels were the ones at the front half where you can see all the grubbo blobs and plan your route. Personally it was more rewarding than having to react to each individual blob and constantly be a little bit off target when adjusting the cursor.
- This may make it too easy, but part of me wonders if having a visual cue for your bow tension near the cursor would make it clearer for planning your shots (and also add accessibility for aurally-impaired players)
- I would love more opportunities/levels that rewarded using the dash! It may just be my more methodical approach to getting gold stars on most of the levels, but it often felt like the optimal playstyle was to stand in place and learn the shot strength needed for each grubbo. The dash feels good and is fun! I'd love to be pushed to use it more.

All that aside, this is Amazing! I would definitely play a full version of this title should it ever grow beyond it's tree trunk roots. Thank you for sharing your work!

@dylan-shumway Thank you for your detailed feedback and thanks for playing! We made some adjustments to the times/difficulty, sniper should be more manageable now. You may have lost your save after the update, sorry! :(

@imberny Thank you!

Highest rating I've given to a game so far! The gameplay feels really good, very satisfying to play, and the graphics and audio amplify the experience to make the game really juicy. All the tiny little details to the art really adds to the visual experience.

Very well done, really enjoyed this game and am super impressed with what you managed to do in such a short time.

To be honest, I equally love and hate your game now because of how frustrating it is to shoot an arrow and have it inside the model but not considering a hit. Hero level at the end the amount of attempts I made where I shot 3 arrows to the first 3 targets on the left and it doesn't register a single hit was tough to digest!

However, of course, extremely satisfying gameplay and beautifully polished entry. It's hard to believe that was done in 3 days, even if I trust you!!! The fact that I got frustrated is just to me a great tell how hooked I was and how I refused to not get gold on each level.
Everything feels awesome - 3d art is top notch, gameplay is awesome, levels are well designed.

All in all, the only thing I want to add is: I feel bad that I got to play to such a great minigame for free. You did an excellent job <3

Really nice polished game with a great difficulty curve! Also, I agree with Dylan, dash feels good but I'd like to be pushed to use it more.

It was one of the best entries I played. I loved the graphics, sounds, and game feel. The progression is perfect for a jam game. I would love to see the game expanded. I love It!

This is mpost polished game on jam yet, 3D style georgios, sounds are very on point, and archer gameplay super unique too, I dont know if something like this was implemented before, but this is great, and I like that you didnt make out of it just generic shooter, but made accuracy challenge. Great job.

Loved the graphics (especially the pallette) and the sound. Super cute little game. Took me a little while to get used to the trajectory of the arrows but soon got used to it. Really polished little entry, thanks for submitting!

Really polished and well made entry (no really, like, damn how ?) , but I... find it super annoying to play. It's really hard to gauge the arc of the arrow, and combined with the angle of the camera, it sometimes doesn't feel fair at all.

Movement felt a bit... counterproductive ? I'll concur with other commenters that moving around was often more of a detriment.

Literally everything else it top notch for something made in 3 days, audio, visuals, general gamefeel.

I really like the way this game looks, sounds and feels! The combination of visuals and sound gives a good sense of impact. And yes, everything looks very very cute and pretty! And what are those things? Are they maggots? Cute :)
The downside for me is that arrows stubbornly fly past, even if you shot where you need to from the right distance, it doesn't happen often, but it is noticeable. A flight path is not always intuitive, but in general you quickly get used to it.

Overall - amazing job!

As others have noted, I really feel the tension in my hand after shooting for a while. This game is intense. The sense of archery conveyed through the mechanics, visuals and sound is amazing.

Oh I love archery games! Despite I am very bad at aiming in this one in particular. :dart: Lovely organic models and grass wobbling is a nice touch;

Man, I legitimately loved this game! The visuals, the audio, the gameplay itself - all get top marks, I would play this for fun on a phone with tap and release controls. And everything looks so touchable, the grubbos look like candies :D one of the top entries for this ludum dare 100% awesome!

This is so clean and pro, one of the nicest looking game I've played! It's also really fun and I'm surprise it works so well to combine balistic with a top down view. Congrats 🙌

Very good game, love the fresh mechanics (once I learned not to hold my mouse button too long when shooting XD), and the great look !

Super fun game! I forgot I could move after like 4 or 5 levels and didn't realise I could collect my arrows for a while. I managed to get through as many levels as it would let me. I completed all of the levels but the next one didn't open?

![wow.png](///raw/5e7/f4/z/69042.png)

Unless I was expected to get gold ratings for some levels and that it wasn't just to show off?
Super addictive and really concise controls that feel GREAT!. I really hope this game makes at least top 10!

The most fun game out of all the ones I've played! I feel like the hitboxes could be just a little more generous, but it's a banger!

Good take on a skill based game!

Adding sound effects for failing an action like trying to enter a blocked zone would add even more polish. Having an alternative for right click would also be good for single mouse button users. I feel like the arrow charging mechanic could go well with a future game where different characters charge up at different rates.
