Fantastic game! I absolutely love the art, especially the charming little cut-scenes! The level of polish is incredible, especially for a JAM game.

I might have missed something with the duck section, though. I saved 9 but ended up reuniting 0—did I overlook something?

Also I would have loved more mechanics around the ducks like "you need X ducks to go through this block"

every time I stepped on a duck it made me giggle. Does that make me a bad person?

Wonderful game! I love the idea of collecting those tiny ducklings and the mechanic to loose them when hit or walking on them. Would also make a fun one for my Game Boy, haha.
All in all, beautiful atmosphere, fun game and cute take on the topic. :duck:

Very cute graphics, too catchy music for my sanity. But most importantly, Kudos on the level ! Very well crafted, difficult but logical (damn those beetles are fast). Love the shortcuts.
Real Solid entry. Cheers and Quacks 🦆!!!

Really fun game. Snake but ducks. The graphics are really cute, the sound effects have a nice feel, the premise is funny. It is quite difficult, but it just makes you want to play again.

Our gobs are absolutely smacked by the amount of polish and attention to detail like when the sprite changes whenever a quart of a day goes past, also it was very stressful being the surrogate parent of a bunch of adorable little ducks and every single time we ran into a bug we instinctively turned around and stepped back onto a duck and one of us felt terrible and the other laughed their ass off, all in all, great game, definitely one of our fav entries so far!

The amount of polish in this game is INSANE, the little animations when the ducks get hit by something, the chirping, animations, everything about this game is really polished, i said on stream if you told me this was a legit classic NES/SNES game i would have believed you! Congrats!

I think I forgot to say that I love it!

It reminded me of when I spent hours playing SNES...

I had so much fun on this one ! The fact that we can walk all over our children when we want to back away made me laugh. Also because i was really bad at not walk over them ... but whatever i loved this game ! The notion of time with the moon slowly falling and the lighting changing is also really good and it fits so well the mood of the game !

Love it! Such a simple but effective game design. I was confused at first because I thought the game was turn-based, but then realized the enemies move independently from you. It would have been interesting and make it more of a strategy game if it was turn based, but this works too. Great work!

Probably the most accomplished game I've tested so far in this jam! The graphics and level design are very impressive, the map seemed huge to me, and the game pushes us to go as fast as possible to bring back the little chicks in 3 days (spoiler: I didn't succeed, but I had a lot of fun exploring the boards!).
The music is great, and I was mortified the first time I accidentally squashed a chick, but that's the game (and it's great!).
A huge GG to you!

Such a great entry!
It took me a while but I did it! I wanted to comment that the game feels too hard, there were times where going left-down-right results in it just registering left then right and you losing all your ducks which I found quite punishing. But once you explore the map and figure out where all the buttons are, the map layout, it becomes a bit easier and honestly very rewarding to complete the game!

Congrats on a great entry!

@glaciereclipse Thanks for playing! It is too difficult, fully agreed. Funnily enough, because I ran out of time to playtest, I didn't beat the game legitimately until a day after it was submitted.

That is a super fun game, great graphics, sounds track. It did give me some nostalgia for old 2d rpgs.

Losing all your ducks when you accidentally stepped on the chain was a great mechanic (even if it was FRUSTRATING) , it reminds me of snake.

Cute and charming. The graphics, music, stops on losing a duck, and light humor work together well. It is challenging but the charm makes it fun even to lose, if a little stressful when penned into a position where you can't move without a loss.

It'd be nice if the ducklings that fled went back where you found them, but with the day time limit it makes sense how that would probably make the game worse or harder because backtracking loses too much time.
