Jelly Gang by Split82

About
Jelly Gang is a puzzle platformer where you control a group of 30 squishy characters. While you can move left, right, and jump like in a traditional platformer, only the characters within a focus region around your mouse cursor respond to your controls. The rest remain physically active but out of your direct control. The camera follows a larger main character, adding a unique layer of strategy to the gameplay.
Controls
- A and D or Arrow keys - Move Left and Right
- W or Space or Mouse Click - Jump
- Mouse - Set Focus

Made in
- Unity
- Photopea
- Rider
Credits
- Everything except music: Jan Split Ilavsky
- Music: Josh Freeek Joynes

+ simple, but very cute graphics. Everything fits well togehter
+ googly eyes make everything better! :D
+ music and mood worked well with the style
++ level design was superb. You introduced every mechanic naturally and step by step.
++ the controls felt good. The chore mechanic (fluid objects) is really good to play.
A little suggestion: I would put the numbers at the goal in the foreground or above or a little sign next to it, because the tiny creatures cover them up.
Such a nice game! I hope we will see new levels in the future. :)
The game mechanic is interesting, it works well. Although it was a bit frustrating to reach the end only to learn that I left one little guy somewhere behind: Fortunately, the level design is often forgiving so that I could go back for him.
It's a pity you didn't have time for some sound effects, but the rest of the game looks like you had all weekend. Great job!
Wow, and the background music gives off this relaxed vibe, contrasting with the chaotic motion of the physics at play. This is super cool. I'm really excited to see this moving forward and to find out what else you can include in a full game.
nice art,nice gameplay.
And in the last level, there is a blob stuck in the pit where the yellow bar at, I thought it can't get back up, then when I decide to move on and get away form the yellow button, the bar lifted that blob up! it's a nuance but fun experience.
We also made a game about blobs so I had to check it out once I saw it :D
Fantastic entry with a very good polish and well implemented smooth and bugless movement/controls.
The core concept gives me feeling of something between innovation and "Oh, I know those controls!", which is great because I don't have to learn everything from scratch to play well enough to have fun with it.
I really like how much you were able to squish out of those simple rules.. especially, the camera big boi was a very well thought out design decision.
Art direction and music was on point! Simple but charming and eye/ear pleasing.
A little bit too short for my taste but overall that was a very fun little adventure :D
Only critisim, is that I really needed to get to bed about half an hour ago, and this game kept me playing!
I love a good puzzle platformer, and the controls are a really fun mechanic for it. Honestly, this game is basically perfect as is. Add some more levels, maybe some new obstacles, and just release it.
I love how the camera is also a mechanic!
Great job!
The game is very interesting, please keep working on it by adding more levels. Also, I think you should add some sound effects to enhance the whole experience (the music is great btw).
A very great entry fitting the theme well, congrats!
Really good entry! Congrats.
Also the palette itself is really cool and makes chill atmosphere which nice
It was pretty fun and confy to play. Had an association with bubble tea
Great job!
It's so well designed. From the art to the sound to level design... wow. Such a nice simple graphic style. But they feel so cushy and bouncy. It's so much fun moving a big cluster around.
It's weird when you come across a game that was a similar idea to what you had at one point, but then does it SO SO WELL. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. :joy: :sob:  SO WELL DONE. :heartbeat: :raised_hands: 11/10
Good mechanic, nice implementation, and perfectly fit the theme!
The addition of the big guy is really interesting and add a lot to the strategy.
Keep up the good work 😊👍
