Description

Roblox game made from scratch by Space Trace Studio members.

Genre: multiplayer horror.

By lore, game takes place at the space ship, where crew members abruptly wakened up from cryosleep by an emergency. Now they have to evacuate while alien creature is hunting them.

Player roles: * Several player (1 or 2) are alien creatures, which should hunt humans and paralyze all of them. * Other players are crew members, they should collect some staff to open escape room, and then escape.

How to play

For play, you should have an roblox account, go to link https://www.roblox.com/games/14923164210/Defrost and press "Play".

Game is possible to play only for 3+ players, so if you want to check it, please either wait for other players or find someone to play.

Development

Assets we have made by ourselves: * Alien creature model and animations * Buildings' (spaceship and hub) bodies * Images in non-core UIs

Everything else (spaceship interior, audio) were taken from Roblox toolbox.

Afterword

We had great experience developing it and we are looking forward to continue with the progress. Originally, we were thinking about "Weapon race" mechanic, where alien evolves over time and crew members collect materials and craft something. We hope we will implement this feature after the jam.
