You are fighting in a wizard tournament when - Oh No! - you realise the robe you wore today has no pockets! Luckily you have a spell that can steal the item of an enemy wizard, but you can only hold one at a time. Plan your item use alongside your magic to win the tournament.

click on actions to perform them, to regain MP and block against physical attacks then use Defend!

Fun! Beating it took some strategy. I really like the visual style. Some things could be better communicated, though; as far as I could tell there was no indication what action an enemy takes.

I definitely agree with more communication for what is happening turn-to-turn. Also, it seems like there's some imbalance with the items that the enemies use. That said, I love how the graphics are done. The menus in particular are beautiful with the 1-bit style.

I like the concept very much that you use the enemies items against them! Im having trouble getting very far, im not that good :/ The lil guy has one attack that really hits extremely hard, kicking me out often. I think maybe the enemies do too much damage? I really would like to try around a bit more, just when it gets a bit tactical i mess up.
Nice concept! Well done!

this was great, I could totally see a like full release with a whole story and stuff, like a narrative game but with actual fun parts to it 🤣

Needs a bit more communication on what the enemy did (or will do), and the ultimate weapon felt like it led to a lot of unfair deaths, but I enjoyed it quite a bit regardless.

- Interesting premise, descent experience. I liked the music.
- Under magic I only used the steal ability, since it's what I thought the game was all about, didn't try the others but they felt out of place if you're meant to steal enemy items. I also didn't try the defend action, since it seemed like waiting for death.
- The enemy getting their item back felt weird, especially that stealing and using the item passed the turn, maybe it could be a swap your item for enemies and you start with like a stone or stick.

Didn't quite understand at first, but that was because I haven't read the premise :grimacing:
Very cool idea, and I liked the mood of it.
Didn't quite like the balancing, I have mixed feelings about the enemies being able to use their items. In a way it is very cool, on another leads to some "unfair" deaths, like an early enemy almost one shotting me with a super weapon.
But even so, I played again and again and would happily play hours of a full version of this with more items and enemies.

Really solid game!! It took me 5 tries to get it, the frog prince came for me time and time again. I love the music and sound effects, they feel super at home with the visuals.

Interesting kind of game. I've never played anything quite like it, which is always fun! The music was great. Well done!

Great entry! Graphics are nice and consistent, music fits the game and setting too. It's probably just because I suck, but maybe it could use some more balancing? Overall very good!

I really like the concept behind the game. Great use of the Limited Space theme. The choices between attacking, spells, and using my limited item slot were obvious.
I was a bit frustrated that occassionally I would go from very high health (20/25) to dead in a single round. I had no idea what the enemy did but it seems that some enemy attacks hit for 30+ damage? That seems a bit unfair but maybe I'm missing a strategy that can be used to circumvent that.
Regardless, great art, music, concept - hope to see more of this.

Cool interpretation of the theme! Also echoing that there could be a bit more communication; the screen feels very jam-packed with things overlapping so it can be hard to tell what's going on. But it's fun to take an opponent's item and use it against them, hehe.

This was a creative idea! The game was a bit easy once you figured out how it worked, but this is the only game about theft I've seen in the jam so far, so definite props for novelty.

haha took me a sec to get the concept! but I also probably should've read the premise text. I wish the game eased me into the experience a bit more, but really interesting nonetheless :D

Nice take on the theme! Just having a single item slot would be pretty standard idea, but having it be a single item you have to steal from your opponent makes it pretty interesting and fun to play. Plus it makes you strategize for a bit to either wait for the enemy to get an item you really need or try to defeat them more conventionally. The graphic style is great, though it could use some more feedback on what's happening (especially when the enemy uses the ultimate weapon).

One bug I found - if an enemy uses a regen item and gets killed, the next enemy keeps the regeneration buff.

The graphics and concept alike are both beautifully simple and elegant! A perfect match for each other. I'm bad at it so far but I really like this one, feels unique to me :)
