V-SHRINK by Zliebowitz
You are a fourth dimensional being trapped in a 2-dimensional world.
Kick your way to victory in this world of punchers.
Gamepad: move with the left stick and aim with the right stick. Super kick with the left shoulder and normal kick with the right shoulder.
Keyboard + mouse: WASD to move, move the mouse to aim, left click to normal kick and super kick with right click.
V1.2: * fixed more game over screen issues * keyboard/gamepad play more similarly * better handling of swapping between keyboard and mouse
V1.1 update (post-jam): * Disabled Heavy kick on endgame screen * Kicking the Kickable Title also restarts the game * Changed the tutorial text * Fixed some gamepad directionality bug

looks amazing! you guys did a great job
and exactly on topic
My only criticism is I wish the super kick had a more obvious and dramatic animation, and if there was some visual way to tell when it was charged up, I didn't see it. I think I'd be happy to play this again in the future!
Also, thanks for the kind words on the music. I have an unhealthy Famitracker addiction, heh. I suppose if we ever port this game to the NES, we'll have the music covered. =)
Thank you so much for the comments on the music. I definitely have this "unhealthy addiction" with Famitracker, which allows us to emulate what a Nintendo would generate from Ricoh 2A03 instructions that we specify in Famitracker's nifty tracker interface.
while the super kick does feel great, i think the regular kick is a little lackluster, perhaps it just needs some effect/sound for when the enemy is actually hit and it'd be ship shape
i also agree with the others about the mouse easily wandering out of the window during the earlygame, it's more of a nitpick but it could be nice if perhaps there was some dead space around the screen or if the mouse was confined to it. (i tried to use a controller but i couldn't get it to work in chrome or firefox for some reason, could be a problem on my end :S) - i respect your choice to support it anyway.
kicking the menu options out of the screen to restart is also such a wonderful touch, great work guys!
Lots of cool touches too, like the "kick to restart". And the music is excellent! The best I've heard in this jam so far! Definitely feeling some vibes of Undertale and Monolith in there
