At first I didn't quite understand what to do though, I just spammed 1 and somehow made it to lvl 40-45 or so. Tried to focus more on upgrades on the second run made it all the way to lvl 100+ using just "Extra missile damage", "Extra missile target" and "Heal 1 health".
Audio (even though not done by you I believe cause opted out) was a really good pick to go along with the game, which did add to the mood a lot!
The vibe I'm getting here is a turn-based protocol delta and I'm loving it.

Anyway, I know you mentioned you had some balancing issues right before you uploaded, but I had an absolute ton of fun nonetheless. Before I really started to figure it out it was a great little puzzle trying to work out the right combination of powers to play with. I can definitely see how with some better balancing it could be really challenging and fun. And believe me, our own team knows as well as anyone how hard getting difficulty balance can be. Art as always is amazing and adorable. You absolutely nail the clean minimalist look while still conveying all the necessary information. In the end I settled on the basic magic missile and the lightning bolt combo where I set up a mouse macro to automatically fire 5 missiles and then the lighting and combined with the health regen carried me smoothly onto level 1025. I know that wasn't your intention but it's also a testament to how well it's put together that I went that far and everything still worked just fine. I'm sure I could go for another 1000 levels but for now, I must sleep. Great job as always!

The game plays well and feels very polished. It's fun to go around and destroy things for a while :grin:
My only criticism would be the level of challenge. You get more and more powerful as time goes on, but it feels like the game does not offer a raising challenge to mach that power. So, after a while, there is little incentive to go on. However, restarting from zero to try different loadouts and abilities is nice.
I found the green squares surrounding my character confusing but i just ignored them and everything worked out well

Had a lot of fun guys, well done! Didn't understand the upgrades first, I loved auto-buy cause I am lazy lol
I played a bit, this is the best I could do heh yeah I am noob.

The UI effects were juicy as always. :ok_hand: Good stuff! As you can probably tell from the VOD, this is definitely one of those games I can catch myself mindlessly playing and enjoying without any annoying friction taking me out of the experience. Very difficult to pull off for a jam game!



This was so snappy and the systems were really smooth. I did eventually feel a bit overpowered, blasting magic missiles and obliterating the field without doing much movement. I didn't care, though, because I was having so much fun. This even had elements of chess sometimes, trying to figure out how to get the enemy close enough to hit. You did a really great job making a genuinely fun game!

Really loved it. The UI is sexy as flip, and so are all the effects and particles. The game plays quick and has a nice rhythm to it. It took me a while to fully understand what was going on and to learn all the enemy patterns. For the sake of being a jam game I would have liked to see the difficulty wrap up quicker, as my latest score took me over an hour. One of my favorite games this LD, thanks guys!
I have no real criticisms except I didn't notice the upgrade panel for over 10 levels!!!!!!! I don't know if that's me being stupid or what but I feel like a little more fanfare on it would be nice.
