I really enjoyed playing this game, it was definitely a challenge trying to navigate the terrain and keep all the blocks lol

I did find a couple of bugs though, you can walk off the edge while trading, and you can't get back meaning you're just stuck falling, and you can also fly by grabbing a larger brick, holding it your feet, and then jumping, but overall really great game! Good job :)

Bit confused at the beginning but ended up being pretty fun.

Had quite some trouble getting into this one - part of the issue was running off the cliff in the trade screen right away and not being able to fix that without having to just restart. I'd like to see more though if I could!

a bit confusing and buggy for me, but I did like the concept of the game.

@grayce , @kylethecoder and @sean-spiggle gave some very usefull feedback, which allowed us to fix some bugs and release a version 2. Mainly the tradin gscene got a bit of a rework.
The game remains a bit quirky, with all the planned but unfunisched features, but it is a bit less buggy now

I would add to instruction 2 that you need to click the towns, I thought I had to use the arrows to move the character on the overworld, that was the only thing that confused me at first. This is the start of a cool game, it reminded my of a getting over it type game.

Being able to use boxes you bring with you to form platforms you can jump on is a really cool idea! I wasn't able to get to the end of the levels I tried due to not being able to jump quite high enough to reach some platforms (and my stacked boxes being difficult to keep stacked neatly once force is added to them. I'd suggest maybe upping the player's jump height a bit? Even so, this was a fun idea and cool use of the theme. Nicely done!

I'm not really sure what to do once I get to another town ;w; I managed to get some stuff between towns but nothing seemed to happen, I didn't see any other people in the map, don't know what to do

The concept is really cool, but the level design is a kinda frustrating. Still enjoyed it!

Paving the way with cargo is a great idea, but the game seems to need some polish.

Not even the packet needs to be stacked, also your own route need to be stacked. Fun to use the brains not only for delivery.

Seems that going too far on my cargaison gave me a direct ticket to the backrooms xD

Really cool idea to use this problem in a game jam!

I have to be honest and say that this is one of the most unfinished-feeling Ludum Dare entries I've ever played. I like the idea of a game about the traveling salesman problem, but that problem isn't actually present as a gameplay mechanic - you can visit each city as many times as you like and there doesn't seem to be any requirement to visit all of them. The other main mechanic (buying and selling cargo) isn't implemented either, so you're left to just wander aimlessly from one city to another with whatever cargo manages to stay in your basket.

This would still be okay except that the platforming feels very bare-bones; you're maneuvering a static sprite around plain, boxy levels, with no music or sound, and no challenge other than jumps you can only make by pushing around blocks, and your character's awkward tendency to get stuck on the level geometry mid-jump. Any of those on its own would be fine, but put them all together and the fun drains away very quickly.

Looking at your profiles, I see you're all first-time competitors. It seems that what happened here is that you massively overestimated how much work you could get done in 72 hours, overscoped, and ran out of time long before you could finish. There's a potentially great game in the works here, and I hope you don't get discouraged and continue your game dev efforts, either by continuing to work on this game or by moving on to another project. But as it stands - and again, I hope this doesn't sound too harsh - you have little more than an extremely unfinished prototype.

I really like the idea of stacking items and the physics involved. Really a shame there wasn't enough time for you to polish it a bit more. I quickly found out you can fly on your boxes, got a laugh, and pretended that was intentional :) ![Untitled.png](///raw/d85/15/z/5b5f4.png)

hey @f1krazy, Your review is the most accurate and complete we had so far. Especially the part of the overscoping and underdelivery is very spot on. The only detail you missed is that we made the game in 48 hours, not 72 :see_no_evil:

But it still was a very interesting learning experience: the making of the game but especially the reviewing of other games.
Thank you for playing and rating our game in such depth!!

A very unfinished entry, but an interesting foundation. The core mechanic of balancing stuff that doubles as building blocks is interesting and has some potential. Would've loved to see some graphics instead of the white boxes, that could've been quite hilarious. The game could go in many directions (trade, rage-game, building), I'd encourage you to try to make this into a more complete experience.

Ambitious project. I like the concept very much. It feels hard to play right now but still a good entry in my opinion.

Really interesting concept, needs some polish but I would love to see this be developed into a full game. A physics based delivery platformer is a very unique idea. Great job!
