background is so cute, liked the atmosphere, it would be great to have more gameplay though, and adding an exit button once you finish the game! frog's animation was on point

Nice game ! The art was really beautiful. The game was a bit short and lacked some audio but it was okay. Good job overall.

Liked:
I like the pixelated art style and the colors. It felt like I lost health because of the cold weather and got it back in the warm houses that lit up which felt nice.

Things to improve:
- The playing window was very tiny on my high res laptop screen. I would like it to be full screen or something similar.
- I would have loved some music and sound effects to give it some added cozyness.
- It was not super clear what I delivered
- It felt a little frustrating to get stuck in the snow for too long and the jumping might need some tweaks?

Nice job. Had some difficulties with running the game, because it's a dev build. And screen is small also.

Please consider uploading your game to something like [itch.io](https://itch.io) because Godot4 games don't work on the LD site

Very nice looking game, but I might recommend opting out of the audio category, unless there was audio and I just couldn't hear it. I'd love to see what you all can create if you push the concept further!

Really beautiful art, even if i had a little trouble to see the obstacles (faded into the background).

Gonna be honest here, I didn't really like this. The visual were nice, excluding the background taking some time (and lots of grey space) to actually tile in as I travelled. The art really did communicate the sense of cold, which as a Canadian, I can tell you felt pretty much right.

Unfortunately, I can't really say anything about the rest of the game. I didn't understand what I was doing or what my goal was, just that touching houses lit them up and seemed to heal me. The jump is extremely underpowered, making it impossible to jump over a snow dune if you don't line up and come to a complete stop first - When you jump while moving, movement is all but exclusively horizontal, so you just yeet yourself into the snowbank. The snowbanks themselves suck, literally - once your in them, its a slog to get out, and its not even worth backtracking and trying to jump over again - it won't deal enough damage to kill you, and you'll probably miss the jump again anyway due to the controls.

The ice sliding also felt bad - I'm sure the goal was to give a feeling of risk to ice throwing off an otherwise monotonous journey, but I found that touching the ice is what triggered the fast movement, not inertia or anything - So I could touch the edge of an ice bit and go flying across normal ground as if I'd hit a speed booster.

I think if this had some more refinement and development, it could become a quite pretty sidescroller, what with all the attention and detail lavished into those parallax backgrounds, but the gameplay actively detracts from that, obliging you to stare at a narrow strip of the ground to really understand what's going on.

The artwork is fantastic. Add some music or sounds next time, but you have something really cool here!

It just felt unfinished unfortunately. Would love to play it when you get some good gameplay in there! It looked very nice!

Sadly the game went fast. but anyway the art is beautiful.

Pretty graphics. Work on a parallax background would be a nice touch.

On the other hand, the gameplay need some polish: most of the time the jump does not allow the player cross the snow on the way and wasn't clear what was the objective of the game...

As everyone mentioned here, the art is gorgeous, one of the most beautiful entries this jam! The game itself I didn't really get, I was walking to the right and suddenly the game ended with credits. Not sure if I did something wrong or if the game was just like that, but it was worth playing just to see the amazing backgrounds!

So... I bet some people could get motion sickness from this. As a fix for this could be scaling up the camera or slowing down a character. In general it's good, maybe it has a bit lack of idea or more cool mechanics, but you did your best) GJ!

The artstyle and premise are really good. I got the idea for the game pretty quickly. The controls need some more work. The horizotnal movement is way too fast and it is very frustrating to get stuck in the snow. Especially since the hitbox of the slow is way bigger than it looks like. It is very difficult to get out of the snow again. It would be better for a player's experience if the hitbox was smaller and the slow not as extreme. And to make the snow stand out from the rest of the background, so they are more noticable. Some acceleration on the character would also help to make the movement feel more satisfying.

the art is beautiful in this one... it felt like the town people really needed me :) the movement was a bit confusing to me in the beginning but i got the hang of it at the start of my second try!

I got to the credits, so I guess I won. Art and music are splendid–the artstyle of sprites inconsistent at times, but it's really impressive work overall. However, camera moving off the ground when you jump was quite annoying and it felt like screen estate was being wasted. Wish there was a speedrun timer and/or a procedural infinite mode

Targets are especially very poorly visible in the background, in dynamics. The music is pleasant, but, for some reason, too quiet. The art is quite stylish. I also note that the game was able to create a kind of atmosphere, which is a big plus.

But the saddest thing is that there is no challenge in this game as such, which is why it is rather boring to play. All you have is literally running from right to left in painful attempts to make out targets in the background. Still, not bad submission, the game's well done, just not interesting or fun.

Had some issues with the sound and could not hear anything at first and though it should be there cause ya did not opt of that one, but messed a bit with my sound volume and was able to hear the music eventually even when I set it back to default even when I exited and went back into the game. Duno what was up with that.

As for the game, the gameplay could have had more going for it. On the second run I got stuck at a part with a tree, even when I went back and forth and tried to jump over it from different distances I was unable to proceed. For me personally the aesthetics was the highlight, really charming and cute game. C:
