Crank Shot - A Playdate game! by AffinityChris
Howdy, welcome to Crank Shot!
In this gallery shooter for the Playdate, you will help your small town out by delivering the package to the big city. Watch out for the rough n' tumblers or they'll send ya to the bone orchard.
Hop on that train, and get to the city lickety split. It should prove to be a hog-killin' time.

To play Crank Shot follow the link and download the Playdate SDK here: https://play.date/dev/ Inside you'll find the Playdate simulator (in "PlaydateSDKin\PlaydateSimulator.exe")! Just unzip the .zip file and drag and drop the .PDX file onto the simulator app for it to play!
(For simulator players, we recommend setting the "auto-crank" control, just so you don't have to fuss with the lack of a crank )

We definitely want to add an overheat mechanic to the game. Hopefully we can toss that in down the line.
But you can't expect everyone to have a playdate and for me the SDK didn't work!!!
Try a windows port and I will try!
I think the game could be more interesting if the difficulty increased over time (i'm not sure if that's already the case or not). I stopped after 100 , and i didn't felt any progression in the level.
Otherwise, nice music and graphics
As SquidGo said, this is a bit difficult to control the aim, hold the console and turn the crank at the same time.
The difficulty curve takes also a bit too long to pick up and suddenly multiple enemies can appear at the same time.
But overall this is really cool. The art is neat and easy to read. The scale animation when enemies appear works really well.
