The Pizza Shall Be Delivered ​tells the story of a pizza delivery guy who gets an order from a god. He must use the power of the pizza being delivered itself to aid him on his journey to the top of the Twin Pizza Mountains.

Very tricky but fun game. Found it addicting to play and want to perfect those levels. Voice acting was ace as well.

Swinging feels fun but I wish I could move mid swing. Voice acting adds a nice touch to the game too!

Its good! and I really like the spiderman swinging mechanic but it feels really bad to completely lose control of your character when they are in the air. I beat the game and enjoyed it but that was the one complaint I had!

Took me a bit to get used to the controls but when I did I liked it a lot. The level design is very good. I laughed a lot, the voice acting is chefs kiss*. I lost it at the level with the fake ending.

The background is very chaotic and disorienting, I think it's a problem. However, the game mechanics are cool, though I didn’t have enough momentum when landing, the idea's interesting. And I liked that in some levels there are shortcuts, that allow you to win in two clicks with sufficient skill.

Thanks @arsher for that, I didn't realize how disorientating the background was, but looking back at it it does have a lot of stuff going on.

Oh yeah its pizza time. Everything is better with a grappling hook - including pizza delivery. It took me a second to figure out how the throw/grapple worked, but once I figured it out I was set. I wish there was a little bit more control after you release the grapple from a swing. It feels a bit stiff (if that makes any sense) especially if you give yourself a vertical trajectory. Other than that I liked the movement. Also, props for the voice acting!

Fun pizza throw/grappling mechanic. The opening scene was really fun, loved that! The movement of the character otherwise feels a bit stiff and the background can be intense after playing for a while. All in all, fun stuff and solid entry for a jam!

Swing was awesome and felt great but lack of fine air control made it frustrating. Loved the intro cutscene, and the quick turnaround between dying and trying again was well executed. Good job!

My first thoughts!


- Wish I could skip the beginning (Just the 'ludum dare' and 'theme' texts take up a lot of time ^-^
- ^^^ In addition, it was frustrating because the game went grey-screen at one point so I had to restart.
- I love the Baldy's Basics reference in the win screen :3
- The mechanics are really tricky, and I felt myself wanting to rage quit
- There was a glitch where sometimes the pizza box would keep moving even as I grappled towards it

Overall, this was really well done!

Nice game! I think the end of a level should show the time to beat to get the next rank. A bit like in Trackmania.
For the grappling mechanic it's sometimes frustrating not to be able to control the character in the air but the physics are well done (I allowed it in my game if you want to test the feeling it can generate :wink:).
