Development Process

I was able to spend most of the weekend on the project, giving me the ability to increase the scope of this project larger than I ever have for Ludum Dare. Unity didn't give me many problems, and I actually had time to create most of the art and audio that I wanted, with the notable exception of music.

Cool concept and sort of relaxing. I'm not sure I'd say their planetary defenses are puny though

Those cannons are not punny! Is pretty fun, took a couple of runs to get all the specimens, since there is no cooldown on going back and recharging shields the bonus capacity seemed like a bad upgrade compared to just getting all the shields.

well done! the mothership / earth mechanic is simple but elegant. i could see this being very addicting if the spaceship had slippery controls & the tractor beam was physics-based

i love the colors and particle effects! i thought i had a winning strategy ignoring shield upgrades for specimen slots but i was wrong

The idea is insane ! Its a little tricky because we stay immobile for **SO LONG** but really fun !

This was a fun one, played it all the way through. Took me a while to figure out you can buy shields and I'm grateful they recharge on the mother ship. No real criticisms, but I would have liked a smoother transition to the mothership, but I'm just spoiled :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Cool idea and execution, this could become very addicting with more upgrades and objectives!
I found an easy strategy where I just keep moving in one direction, if I only stop to abduct an animal the cannons will aim too low and leave enough time to abduct. It's still pretty hard to aim this way though haha

Fun idea. Nice execution. The sound effects are funny, but they fit the style!

Nice job!

Nice fun game. You do stay still for a bit too long when abducting things, but otherwise very good.

I wasn't able to complete it. but it's still quite a fun game. I think the creatures could benefit from a higher resolution.

At first I was about to complain about the difficulty but then I stopped and red that you can buy improvements that made my life so much easy xDD The difficulty is well adjusted and got me playing until I succeeded, congrats!

Cool little game ! I think using the `space` key to abduct things was not mentioned, I took me a couple of tries to understand.
There is also a bit of blurry assets, while the spaceship looks nice and sharp.
Other than that, the idea is great, and the gameplay is fun.
GG of this entry !

EDIT : forget the `space` key comment above, it was actually a resolution issue, the bottom part of the screen was hidden in my screen, so I didn't see that you need to use Space.
