Hello LD Jammers/ Fellow Devs This is Defence Extraction game made for LD 49 and this my first ever LD Jam!!!

I am so excited how the LD community welcomes newbies!!!

This game is a Infinite game where you have to protect a rarest metal ball found in lava mine using a platform bot!!! This is a very small game and not very fun for long time. Actually I completed the game in Day 1 but fortunately I had big troubles which made me to submit on last day (In other way, it is great!!!)

Watch the Devlog for this game on my YouTube channel!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vsj8YYGG_Vg

And Also I have YT channel which focus on Game Development and The devlog for this game will be out probably in this week and So Subcribe to my channel!! It means a lot for me (And also That makes me has some people are liking my games!!!)

I am also Opt-out in Audio because I didn't make the music I recommend you to play the Web version because no need of downloading!!!!! For Windows, You have to go to end of the page and click download!

That's for the game and ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR GAMES TOO!!!!!!!!

Thanks a lot and Happy Gaming! - Supine From Random Ideation Studios

Neat! I really liked the idea, although I kept getting my iron stuck on the sides of the screen

Metallurgical keepy-uppy! This was really fun to play!

Nice idea! However, I found it too hard to move the iron ball, and the game can be cheated by just holding up.

Neat game with a clever idea! It’s a little heavy on info, probably don’t need more than a sentence or two to explain what’s going on and then figure it out while you play, but fun game for sure!

Hello @slimmerburger
Actually you can get from sides by going down and suddenly press up
I works sometimes but you should try it!

@chargrills21 you are right but I don't know how to prevent that
If you can give any idea on it, Surely I will add to my game!

@spider-developer You could add a red damage collision box at the top of the screen which damages you when you hit it

Interesting game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 49 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/6UdIqDKcGPw

Nice little game ! The idea is simple, but efficient, and the execution is quite nice ! I'll just make two little complains that has already been done : the ball is too hard to move sideways (maybe add more friction, or being able to rotate the platform ?) and the "holding up exploit" ^^.

Overall, good job !

Interesting basic concept, I think the way the player interacts with the ball is a little bit limited though. Perhaps a different shape for the players object would help them control the trajectory of the ball a bit better, I found it really hard to dodge the rocks from above because they are too fast to react to, and the ball slid around in a way that was hard to stop, if the player had some kind of small bumps on each end or maybe had another shape entirely I think there would be a lot more room for skilled play and quick reactions, maybe increased player speed could help too.

Overall pretty solid, everything worked with no bugs and it's a functional prototype which is awesome!

This game is interesting. I like the musical accompaniment in this game, when I tried to jump and listen to music it was fun, I liked it.

Good job with a music and mood! It seems like there is a dominant strategy of standing still in one place, perhaps giving more damage to the rock could help with that

Thanks a lot for your feedback @kpded
I thought it would be very harsh with more damage but I will update post-jam them with more damage

Interesting idea, but I had a lot of trouble feeling agency in the game. I couldn't move the ball very quickly, and once a piece of debris hit my bar thing, I couldn't get it off of it without dropping the ball.

A nice little game, especially for only being made in a day! Quite enjoyable gameplay, though I think the rocks should have done a little more damage on average, doing only 2 damage or so per hit made the rounds a little bit long. :)

Hey, nice little game. As others have said, it was pretty rough to dodge the falling blocks as it's hard to move the ball quickly by reacting.
Overall I had fun.

There is a really fun idea here, and I haven't played anything like it before. I thought the tutorial was just the right amount of information and the visual effects were nicely done. Lasted for 3 minutes before a rock knocked the iron off the platform!

Stellar music! I evaded the rocks by holding up for a while, then just enjoyed the music

Interesting concept! I think it would improve a lot if the screen were vertical instead of horizontal, we would have more field of vision. The rocks fall very quickly and are practically not visible, it would be good if the falling speed were variable. Good job!
