Mixed Worlds by Riper
There are two worlds, one for the living and one for the deads. And a portal connects them, but it is always closed, except for one night a year. At this moment, the connection becomes unstable and all the monsters come from the world of the dead to ours, and there is only one way to close the portal. You need to boil candies and sacrifice them.
Fortunately, at that moment we are near this one and we will be able to stop the attack.
Mechanics:
Your goal is to fill the pot with candies for the amount indicated in the upper left corner.
You can walk around the world and collect candies just by touching them.
The number of collected candies can be seen in the upper right corner, but the maximum amount a player can carry is limited.
To drop the candies into the pot, you need to go up to it and press Space.
There are monsters walking in the world and if you get close to him, he starts running after you.
If the monster touches you, he takes the candy and disappears.
If you have no candies and a monster touches you, you lose.
Periodically, waves of monsters climb out of the portal and begin to go to the pot to take candies from it.
When the monster approaches the pot, he takes one candy and runs out, and if there are no sweets, then you lose.
There are columns with pumpkins on the way from the portal to the cauldron, and if the monster falls into their light, then the monster begins to take lives.
When the light damages a monster, the pumpkin spends energy (candies). So don't forget to add candy.
For seeing how many candies are in the pumpkin - go to the butt to the column, and for adding candy - go up and press "Space".
The "Escape" button opens the pause menu, where you can exit to the main menu, or open the options menu.
In "Options" you can adjust the graphics quality and sound volume.

DO NOT FORGET! See where the first wave of monsters is coming from and how many candies in a pumpkin are needed to kill all monsters. Bring some sweets there and you will have time to study the map. You can find cemeteries, a beautiful village, a abandoned house in the woods, a square with statues, etc.!

It's a pretty basic tower defense game but it's okay.
I enjoyed the pixel art and the music, the monsters were all interesting to look at and the Halloween ambience is there.
A bit more visual and audio feedback during interactions and the monster attacks on the pumpkin pillars would be nice to add a bit of dynamism to the game.
A preference of mine would be to make the paths that lead to the monster spawns explicit as they are fixed.
More types of actions beside gathering candies could be nice to break the repetitiveness.
All in all, it essentially just needs a bit more depth to make it more interesting but it's a good start.

Some things I would have liked to see in the game:
- A sound effect for picking up candy, and other juice to accent that event
- Likewise, a sound effect for placing candy in the cauldron/tower, and maybe make them jiggle a bit when that happens
- Multiple portals that the monsters can come through. Perhaps they would randomly pick one or two portals to go through. Alternatively, you could remove the three unnecessary towers, they didn't seem to do much
- A "big" candy that gives you 5 candies when you pick it up
- Tiny variation in monster health/speed, just call `MathUtils.RandRange(x, x)` on start to add a good bit more life
- When space is held, continuously add candy to the cauldron/tower, preferably at an increasing rate
Good job, see you in LD50!
It kinda feel boring after the second wave and totally killing after the third when you feel like you understand the game totally but still need 50-100 candies to bring. It may be better to speed up the whole game like twice so there will be more "micro-moves" between enemies or another option is to make like 3 times more enemies and make the real zombie-land because at this moment map feels empty. The third solution may be to turn off the light and make a small vision-circle around the player so it will be harder to see situation around but it will be harder to find candies too. Probably the really nice solution may be somewhere in between these 3.
Anyway, great job guys!
