Super Misfire or: One Gun To Shoot Them All by LDJam user 263516
Here is my take on the "unstable" theme. You operate a malfunctioning quantum supergun, which shoots things it probably isn't supposed to. Achieve superiority over your friends by travelling further through the Dungeon of Enemies than they can.
Every bullet you can shoot is unique, and each has the capacity to save your life or spell your death in its own special way.

Edit: fixed a bug where the confetti particles weren't showing.
Edit (10/4): fixed incorrect floor # bug
Edit (10/7): added "by ivy sly" on the title screen

Good game.
The background music is very nice, and fit well with the dynamic mood of the game. Also fx are very nice.
I would like more items with differents effects and levels less repetitive.
Overall, very good game (specialy for a compo )
Also, my favorite weapon was the banana :)
The weapon constantly switching is a nice take on the theme (it's also a mechanic present in one of my own games funnily enough!), and you managed to create an impressively competent top down shooter in 48h, everything is here: satisfying shooting, smooth aiming and camera, pathfinding, particles, audio. I'm a big fan of Nuclear Throne and that game really is the game jam equivalent
I love all the random weapons. Bees!? I did somehow light myself on fire and die, but man this game is great! :)
I gotta say, for a compo, this is a very well done, I've played a bunch of Jam games, and they don't come close to be as polished as this!
The art is pixelated, but very well done. The audio is well fitting for this kind of game. And the progression of introducing more bullet types and enemies is spot on!
My only advice to you is to add a way to control the audio (increase/decrease/mute), since everything was at max volume at first.
Other than that, great work! Looking forward to see your next game in the LDs!
The mood and game feel is very good!
the sound ambiance is very good.
The feedback of the loss of life points is a little lacking in readability, but it's a jam after all.
Congratulations
I loved the idea of weird guns very much. At some points it turns into a complete mess :D
The game loop is very well made. Gives me a lot of ape out vibes but still stands out on its own! I love this game. Each bullet has its drawbacks and benefits and the sound design is phenomenal! This is extremely well done and for a compo even better! The art is great and responsive with the sound and everything feels as it should be!
Maybe what would make this better is that if you end up getting a bullet you already have, it upgrades that bullet to a new level!
Great work! And great job on Rocket Sword as well! Wishlisted!
Also, happy to see more Godot on LD
