Good old fashion puzzle game. This is a cool spin on it...a few puzzles took me a bit to get. Well done.

I love puzzle games. Yours is very nicely done, be it on the graphical side or the gameplay side !

For me the difficulty was perfect, not too easy, not too hard. I also like how simple the mechanics are.

Great puzzle game. Starts simple, introduces mechanics well and at a good pace, nice pixel graphics, nice audio. Well done.

I got to this level and couldn't figure it out.

@myles-doupe Thank you! If you are ever interested in going back and trying to finish that level and want a hint, then here is one: how much glue do you need, really?

nice game. Actually made me think quite a bit in the later levels. a bit tricky figuring out how many glues you actually need to take sometimes(or did I finish some levels with less glues than you intended? ha!).
while the mechanics stay simple it actually can get pretty complicated. Wouldn't mind playing this again and maybe even purchasing with a bit more polish and/or mechanics.

Grade A game. The levels were well designed and the controls were introduced very well. I only have 2 issues. 1, I wish the glue mechanic could have been implemented without using the mouse. 2, there's a glitch where if you press both a sideways key and an up and down key, the character will move diagonally and I used this to beat the last two levels. Other than these, great game. I really hope this wins a category

Thanks for the feedback @enya454! Looking back on it, I do regret not having an alternate control system for the glue, and I am aware of the diagonal movement exploit. Although, in my opinion, the game can be more fun if you use the exploit... Some levels you can beat without using any glue at all, and most levels you can beat very quickly (a friend of mine was bored and started speedrunning the game, it was wild)

Thank you for playing and thanks for the kind words

My antivirus marked the game unsafe and said it contains a trojan.

Oh man, what a ride. It felt good to get stuck on some of the puzzles for as long as I did.
Really solid level design, and the application of the theme is obvious.
The mouse control for the glue felt a bit off, but besides that minor comment I really enjoyed it.

loved it. Nothing inovative, but clear and nice execution of an oldschool puzzler. Top

~~Same as SparkyDoc07 :(~~

~~My antivirus says there's Win32/Wacatac.b!ml and Win32/Wacapew.C!ml, doesn't allow it to run and then removes completely~~

~~Any ideas how to fix it?~~

Ok, after a long fight with the anti-virus and multiple attempts to restore the .exe it worked

I like it! Great level design with some smart puzzles! The idea of having "glue" is pretty clever too. It's a very solid game, I only had problem in the beginning when I didn't realize that you can step on glued tile more than one time.

Good job!

Simple graphics and audio come together to create a satisfying whole! Good puzzle design as well.

This game is actually pretty much way to go and fun + engaging to play. Difficulty is just enough in here: it is good while you have to replay the level few times, not too many times, and the game process goes on. If you would add here some hostile elements, like a shooting cannons and to avoid the bullets, this would get very interesting and to be tactical game in a real time. The mechanics are brilliant for the puzzle game in here already though; you can create the level hard or easy as you like. I would like to control the glue setup without the mouse control (placing with arrow controls?). I would also do make these graphics more unique before the launch, but yeah that's just me.

This is interesting title; i guess we hope you get continuing with this awesome project. I'll just give you all 4,5 ratings because this is really cool and an almost the ready up game release.

@sparkydoc07 @caudatecoder I have been hearing some issues with antiviruses and whatnot... I don't know what would be causing it besides the antivirus generally disliking unverified .exe files so I'm not really sure how to solve it :pensive: If you can somehow add the file as an exception to your antivirus that could work?

Brilliant puzzle game, the level design is clever I really liked it!
A nice addition would be some music, but the sounds are already nice.

The puzzles were tricky, but fair. The glue tutorial was great, I love the style. Incredibly fun, and great work for 48 hours! If anyone finds the levels difficult, I can confirm that they are all beatable.

Fun game. The puzzles were challenging. That second to last one took me a bunch of tries. The glue was a nice mechanic. I liked playing with the keyboard alone. It would have been nice to glue without using the mouse.

There were some similar games in LD 42, I even made one :) The glue is a great addition, it creates many potential puzzles. And oh boy, the puzzles in this game are extremely good! It's amazing that you designed them in just two days. I've seen in the comments you're aware of the diagonal exploit, it's also possible to die on a single tile by pressing up and down simultaneously  One bug I found is that when you press space while dying, the glue animation still plays. I would like the glueing process to halt when the player tries to move, pressing the space again seems unnecessary (unless you add moving the glue by arrows instead of mouse, that would be cool too). Also, there are two glues to spare in the heart level. Good job overall :)

I admit, I saw that it had crumbling floors and I thought I knew exactly what I was getting into, but then you broke out the glue. What a simple, easy-to-understand mechanic. And yet you were able to squeeze every last drop from this mechanic to use it in very interesting and complicated ways. I had a great time playing this game. Looks nice, and had a good steady difficulty curve. Great job!

Cool puzzle game, the levels felt a bit repetitive at first but the introduction of the glue item really added variety to the puzzles. Audio andd art was clean.
Having to hit the spacebar to activate "glue mode" felt a bit weird, I think the controls can be simplified (just click to glue ?)

It is seriously good game. So addictive that I went through all levels even though I should go to sleep now. There are simple graphics and sounds but they are lovely :kissing_closed_eyes:
Highly intuitive in-game tutorial.
Respect for you that it is a compo game.

Really great work :)

PS I think, it would be nice to control choosing space for glue using only keyboard. So you could add placing glue using arrows/WSAD, without clicking the mouse, but now I see, that idea would break how we use spacebar now for stop using glue :< maybe glue tiles with another key, eg. enter key?

PPS We did kind of similar (especially in crumbling floor mechanism) game to yours, but with turn-based style. It supposed to be more logical too, but now you can feel its adventure/action theme.

This was awesome! The same basic game design came up in our brainstorming session, but you did it so much better (the glue is a great idea). We determined that these puzzles can be mapped to the hexagon pickup puzzles in The Witness, but the glue adds a really cool complexity. I found a bug, if you press to directions at once you can move over tiles without them cracking (I may have used that to beat one of the puzzles I got stuck on)...

The puzzles were really well crafted. Good job!
