A 2d arcade shooter made with bad clip-art! A literal interpretation of the jam theme, where you shoot down the enemy stable while avoiding the obstacles it throws at you. Get the pickups to regain health or get a stronger weapon.

Made in 72 hours for the jam! Some friends helped me brainstorm but I ended up doing most of it solo. I thought it turned out alright for what it is, if I had more time I'd have preferred to make my own graphics and music though.

Controls:

WASD or Arrow keys: Move, Crouch, Jump

SPACE (hold): Fire

ESC: Exit

Hah, this was actually rather good. The boss had multiple phases, the projectiles/obstacles were all different and interesting, the boss health felt like the perfect amount to where I didn't get bored but had enough time to enjoy the silliness, and the art was straight up stupid in a good way. I feel like you may as well just have all bullets always shoot to the right thought since you never would want to shoot to the left, so may as well lock it over there. But honestly did give me a good old school boss fight vibe, which I think was what you for sure were going for.

A cowboy that shoots with his lasso :D (don't worry, I understand it is clipart). Overall, I found the difficulty to be about right. That being said, maybe the hitbox of the player could be shrunk a little? I had a hard time dodging the shotgun attack of the farmer near the end as a result. Everything else felt very fair. I beat the game on my first attempt in about 1:30.

Alright alright, well done on subverting the theme.
This was pretty funny, and actually fun to play. Felt tough at first, then I started being more careful with dodges and using the missiles wisely. Really fun entry!

Very fun and silly game. I had a lot of fun with it and there is a lot of variety in enemies and different projectiles that come at you which keeps the game fresh and gives it some nice difficulty the longer the game goes on. Job well done! :)

This game is hilarious! I love your take on the mood, and I overall enjoyed the experience! If there was one thing I wanted, it would be strafe controls. I think this game would have served well from them. Otherwise, thank you for sharing! I got a really good laugh!

I liked the sound but graphic is so bad lol :) But It was really funny how that cowboy was downscaled on pressing down arrow XD

Un-Stable! Now I get it... This explains why I've seen some games with barns and farm animals :laughing:
I liked the idea that the animals and the old man try to protect their home. You did a good job!!! maybe next time you can support yourself more from your friends and create a team that helps you in different aspects of the game.

@antom Thank you, I had a team of 3 going into the jam but unfortunately they both bailed on me on the second day, so I had to do what I could :/

nice, the game unexpectedly has a difficulty curve that seems to be challenging in the satisfying way, I managed to beat the game on the 2nd try! It quickly gets chaotic and still fun ;)
One small suggestion may be that player doesn't actually rotate to shoot left when moving left, so that we can continue shooting. But overall a simple yet fun game.

This little game was actually pretty fun ! The intensity curve is rough but still make sense with the amount of life and the number of dropped aid kit. Chaos but satisfying, yet challenging !

I got drawn in by the absurd thumbnail and was not disappointed! You did a great job making a really goofy game to fit the clip art you choose, and even if it wasn't a super long game, it was a lot of fun! Nice job!
