Made in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 49 COMPO

This game is a combination of Pong, Portal, and Angry Birds. You play as 2 aliens trying to rescue your friend from a space jail. Using a comet to destroy the teleportation jammers in each level and clear any blocks above your friend. The comet will pass through your portal but it can also be caught using energy. You don't have an unlimited amount so use it when needed.

Great conceptually and the game is brilliant, the gameplay is smooth and the animations are right on point. I liked the art. Good luck for the jam.

Great game as always Vimlark! Only problem I had was that you are trying to mix pong and angry birds. However this isn't really a puzzle game, its more a game about waiting for the meteor to land in a good place, aka you don't really have very much control over it. On the 3rd level, The meteor got into a horizontal flight where it just kept on flying through my portals, and I couldn't break the chain

Super cool and interesting concept that I've never seen before combined. I gotta say, it's so difficult to move both portals and I usually end up moving both of them up and down at the same time. Very sweet stuff!

I'm really impressed with this. The game design is really clever and the art style fits. You even had time to throw in a good amount of levels! That's where I always fail.

Good Job (^w^) !
A bit confusing to move both side at first but the game is great ! (Even if I'm stuck at lvl 6 for like 10min now (t_t))

A very solid game. The main mechanic was super interesting. I do think there is room to improve some aspects of the collisions, and the grab mechanic seemed a bit too necessary, but the art was cute and overall it was a great entry.

Awesome game! I loved the art, music, and mechanics. One thing thing that would have helped is if the instructions had an icon for what the Jammers looked like. (I figured it but was a tiny bit confused at the start!)

Good idea, but don't know if I love it.
Clever to combine the 3 games, but I was expecting the sum to be more than the individual parts.

Very cool game! I had fun playing it. It was weird at first to get used to, but after some time it felt really fluid.

Really good idea to combine the mechanics in the way that you have, very unique!
The tune is a bop also so good job!
It feels like a complete package and for the time frame that is very well done!
The aliens are cute also.

GOOD JOB! 👏

Funny game, even if a bit too hard for me. Loved the graphics, the music and sounds also fit well

Fun physic-ish based game. The use of particles and other little details make these graphics better than they might appear at first sight. For playing the game I couldn't find a real strategy. I was just moving both portals around until they accidentally hit the right spot.

very fun game, this is a game i could probably play for hours even after beating all the levels, a nice leasurely game that has just the right level of difficulty mixed in. i love how the pong bois had the portals too, if you lined them up just right it made it easy to take out certain pillars..the art was super cute and the sound effects and music were amazing...great job!

I like the idea, graphics, design and execution. The audio gave good feedback. The platform movement felt a little bit unresponsive and the audio style didn't stick for me (personal thing). I also only partially feel the theme.

Very polished, I like it a lot. Very angry birds but with less birds and less anger. Love the artstyle, reminds me Kommander Keen from waaay back. Handles ok, but maybe a little slow? I see the comment above me mentiones unresponsive, I agree with that.

The gameplay concept is pretty fun (and confusing at first). Its hard to find time to script a step-by-step tutorial for LD but it would have helped out. The amount of text is overwhelming at first.

Fun game. I considered getting someone to play arrow keys while I used the W/S keys, but tired to do it myself before getting post-jam sleep.
Graphics are cool, and the sounds work well. Good job mixing the games together

Concepts very clever, gameplay with simple basics that combined create an original and in-themed game. Well done for your work, doing it all alone, it's really well done!

Fun game! I found it hard to control both of the paddles by myself, this seems like it would be a lot more fun with a friend. Could definitely benefit from some music!

Thank you for making a game that is both political and funny. It is very complete, the interfaces are successful, the tutorial is very pleasant, the gameplay effective. It's complete, clean, important. Thank you for this great teamwork

I like how you setup the controls, initially I thought it might be confusing but became second nature, good idea it gave it a true feel of playing two ships. Angry birds + Pong.... that's sounds like your own constraint. Well done. Hope your game jam addiction keeps producing cool games.

Nice combination of ideas.

I really like how the brain get used to the portal instead of the a bounce like traditional pong.
I would love to see the ability to switch between bounce and portal mode some how.

One of the level I ended up in a situation with 0 energy and had to clear the stage the hard way. I wonder if it is better if the player have less energy.

Good job on the submission.

Such polish, I really enjoyed. The game was hard after you ran out of energy, power ups that replenish energy would be cool.

This was a very interesting entry ... I did enjoy actually playing it. Congrats on this one.
And very nice to see that you do ratings yourself as well ... accidentally stumpled on another streamers entry - which had 50 ratings but had returned none.

Pretty sweet combination of two different games. I feel that the building's structure is a little too heavy / robust as some pieces barely move when hit by the meteor. I think adding in a powerup to super charge the meteor to be fast / deal more damage would make for some explosive action!

Wow, fantastic innovation to combine portals with pong and angry birds. Definitely more stressful than regular pong but making some big brain moves by controlling both sides to line up a shot makes me feel like a (un)stable genius. I didn't realize that I could catch the ball with jammers, so its possible to still win without that.
Great stuff!

Yay, I freed my friend.

Nice entry! I really had to adjust and change my brain to become good at it :D. Somehow I kept expecting the portals to bounce the ball the whole time.
The grabbing mechanic was a nice touch! Very polished overall!

Very nice game; the dual controls were tricky to get used to but I did find myself eventually lining up shots with one portal as the meteor went into the other which felt satisfying. Great audio and graphics too. My only complaint is that it doesn't fit the theme too well for me. Although you make the tower unstable by hitting it, for most of the game it's on the floor and it's actually frustrating that it's too stable! Overall however a strong entry!

amazing idea, love the art and music  quite tricky to have the control the two pong bars at the same time, but once I knew how I had a nice time playing the levels  I just didn't understand in which direction were going to go the comets after I catched them, it was a bit confusing because sometimes went in the portal and others against it

Really cool game! The ideas really fun and the art and audio is freaking amazing for a compo game!!

The one bit of feedback I'd give is I think it would've been awesome if the meteor got faster and faster like the ball in Lethal League, then you could use the grab thing to stop the momentum and get the meteor under control again. But that's definitely just my taste in games, I like em fast-paced

Wow, that's a really original and cool mix of game mechanics! It took a little while to figure out how to use these mechanics for the given goal, but I completed all levels.

It's surprising how challenging something simple becomes once you have to split your focus between two of them at the same time. This is a solid piece of work from scratch in 48 hours.

If I were asked to suggest improvements, I think that the paddles/portals could be smaller and faster. They felt a bit sluggish to move around. Beyond splitting focus between the two paddles, I would say it lacks a real challenge. You seemed to be able to hold the ball indefinitely, when grabbed, and could just line up your shots. Also, there didn't seem to be any real likelihood of running out of 'grab energy' before completing the level, so no real need to conserve it.

Other than that, good effort!
