Title-screen.png Evil Guys are trying to break down your barrier! You better try and stop them by summoning little friends! Summon friends by drawing on the Pentagram. The symbol you draw corresponds to the element of your summoned friend.

pentagramBase (Custom).png

Every Summon costs 20 Blood, you get 1 Blood everytime one of your Friends hits and 5 Blood upon killing an Evil Guy

Use the WASD or arrow keys to move around the summoning position.

Press the number keys 1-5 to show a hint on the drawable patterns.

Nice idea! It was just to much to learn too fast, trying to remember the patterns and the correct counters while the enemies came at you was impossible. A bit slower start with maybe one type of enemy, so you could learn one pattern at a time.

@rillep that's very fair

as we only had time for 2 days of development instead of 3 due to work obligations, we didn't really have time for balancing lol

Nice idea, really well done on the pattern recognition managed to recognize even my very loosely correct shapes, the combos I couldn't remember so went with the easiest pattern to draw and just draw a lot of it.

It's a nice idea, I just think it might a bit too much to memorize the patterns at the same time you want to draw them on the pentagram and look at the enemies. Or maybe I'm a bit too slow. But it's overall a really good entry. Good job!

It's a very difficult game. The idea is wonderful. I really liked the mechanics of summoning creatures.

That thumbnail banner is so good and eye catchy!
I enjoyed the game, I decided to play it with the drawing tablet and was fun to draw shapes.

Really cool idea! The drawing mechanic was fun and easy to use once I started using the 1-5 keys frequently to show me the patterns. I did find myself starting more at the pentagram to focus on drawing rather than looking up at the battlefield. Maybe it would be nice to have the drawing be done at the summoning area?

I got around to score 1000 before I stopped summoning, then around 1400 the enemies started glitching around the screen.

Also thank you for including a volume slider! I wish every game jam included that.

Great first jam entry!

Cool game! Quite difficult i find, at least for me; cute graphics and great sound! After losing, i can't see how to restart the game without refreshing the page

Pentagram summoning mechanic was fun at the beginning but began to wear on me after playing for a bit. Maybe if there was a separate mechanic for summoning the runts more easily, and leaving the pentagram for occasional, very powerful summons could work. Good work on the jam

That was cute and fun! I really liked the little monster characters and the biting animation.

I would have liked to see some reminder of the elemental strengths on the gameplay screen - I was trying to remember if I understood them from the menu. Alternatively (and maybe cooler) would be to see a little bit of the bonus / penalty as the creatures are fighting.

I also noticed I was being scored on the quality of my summoning drawings, but I'm not sure what effect (if any) better scores had.

I had fun!
