Lore:

In a realm where reality is woven by the threads of numbers and logic, there exists a unique caste of magicians known as NaNcers. These enigmatic individuals possess the rare ability to summon entities from the void of non-existence, the realm of Not a Number. Unlike traditional summoners who call forth creatures from other dimensions or planes, NaNcers tap into the chaotic potential of the undefined and the indeterminate.

Brezella Arcano NaNcaster, A wise and ancient NaNcer (ability to manipulate the undefined) who summons creatures from forgotten times and from the depths of mathematical anomalies.

Game Mechanics:

Players take on the role of a NaNcer (a character who is skilled in the art of summoning and controlling the unknown and undefined with a touch of elegance and flair), using their arcane knowledge to cast spells that summon allies, create obstacles, and manipulate the battlefield in unpredictable ways.

The core mechanic revolves around the 'NaN' concept, where players must strategically manage their resources, which are represented by unstable numerical values. Casting too many powerful spells in quick succession could lead to a 'NaN Overflow', causing unpredictable effects on the player's summons or even altering the state of the game world itself.

NaNcer Abilities:

  • Void Call: Summon a creature from the NaN, whose abilities and stats are randomly generated.
  • Indeterminate Shield: Create a barrier that has a random chance of either absorbing all damage or failing entirely.
  • Arithmetic Anomaly: Cast a spell with an unpredictable outcome, which could either aid the player significantly or backfire.

Lore Expanded:

The NaNcers were once scholars and mathematicians, guardians of the balance between order and chaos. However, their incessant pursuit of knowledge led them to the discovery of the NaN, a dimension beyond comprehension. As they delved deeper, they learned to harness its power, but at a cost. Their very existence became as uncertain as the forces they sought to control, making them both feared and revered across the lands.

Hopefully the game will be complete before the EXTRA deadline(Before Day 15); Not Enough time for JAM..
