I echo the sentiment of the game taking some bit to understand but once it click you can get into a really good rhythm which is very satisfying. My only gripe is the controls are a little weird. My best guess as to why it was space and ctrl was so that you had more of you fingers available for WASD. I would recommend maybe shift since it's a little easier to hit than ctrl, but it's just a minor thing. I was playing for a good 15-20 minutes and my hand started to cramp from hitting ctrl.
