But I have to say that following a bunch of instruction is tedious. Maybe the fragments(GlyphPage) can be scattered in the room and you can find clues about the final shape. Anyway, keep fighting and you can do better!","format":"md","likes":1,"spam":"N"},{"id":1035771,"author_name":"Owtuvammo","author_uid":"owtuvammo","epoch":1713210354,"text":"The vibes remind me of Lethal Company or Scavenger SV-4, which is high praise indeed.\n\nI will say that the gameplay was very compelling to me but fairly tedious. It would be extremely useful if you spent some time making selecting and organizing the slides easier. I don't mind the complicated instructions. It fits very well with the theming of everything, but once I put slides on the projector and then found an instruction that modified it, it was extremely difficult to select the right slide again.\n\nAlso, in terms of word-choice, I wasn't sure for a while if \"included\" meant included on the projector or included in the package of slides that I was given, which made getting started really difficult.\n\nOverall, if anyone is reading the comments, give this a shot and stick with it long enough to truly understand what it's doing. There is a really great logic puzzle hidden behind some daunting instructions here!","format":"md","likes":2,"spam":"N"},{"id":1051323,"author_name":"LDJam user 267116","author_uid":"267116","epoch":1713318423,"text":"@owtuvammo Thank you for the wonderful feedback! The sheer quantity of slides provided and red-herring instructions in the book made it a really daunting task. I started again while writing this, and realised the puzzles appear to be procedurally generated - which is very cool and impressive for a jam! I feel like this would be a great game if it had some smaller introductory puzzles (maybe with a smaller rulebook) before the main ones. I failed twice, but with no feedback as to what I got wrong I didn't feel encouraged to go for a third try. This game is staying in my downloads folder so I can come back to it after rating more games. This is a great concept, and a pretty decent execution.","format":"md","likes":1,"spam":"N"},{"id":1068490,"author_name":"Julian France","author_uid":"julian-france","epoch":1713676486,"text":"Very impressive idea, after figuring out all of the mechanics in a few minutes it was pretty reasonable to start scrolling through the manual and figuring out which pages you had. Overall it got too difficult with all of the overlap on the projector when it was necessary to go back and make adjustments. With some new UI to address that issue, and some additional story aspects, I think this could be made into a unique complete game.","format":"md","likes":1,"spam":"N"},{"id":1068665,"author_name":"Ty Victorson","author_uid":"ty-victorson","epoch":1713690341,"text":"Like others have mentioned, it was a bit tedious to follow the instructions, I've got bad memory so I spent most of my time trying to figure out what I had and following the book trail. I liked the concept - it's interesting to delve into the instructions and match all the conditions. But I still didn't understand if there is any difference between the correct incision and the wrong one. I seem to be following the instructions, but the result is the same as if I just clicked on the scalpel at the beginning (maybe I'm stupid, but I spent 2 hours trying to get a different outcome). The game reminded me of Papers Please in its approach to inspecting everything. Conditions and degrees are a bit confusing when it comes to plus or minus degrees (the count starts from the mark on TM or from its starting position on the table).\n\nOverall, I had a good time and exercised my brain for 2 hours, thanks!","format":"md","likes":1,"spam":"N"},{"id":1070952,"author_name":"ellaris","author_uid":"ellaris","epoch":1713804049,"text":"- I feel like it could be interesting if it wasn't designed to be super annoying\n- Supper hard to understand what is asked of the player, I had a hard time figuring out how to switch the view\n- I would align the glyphs so that I could read them, but then when I fail, they get reset and I have to do all of that all over again just so I can read","format":"md","likes":0,"spam":"N"},{"id":1073105,"author_name":"henk","author_uid":"henk","epoch":1713991717,"text":"I feel like there's a certain special tension to working on something with a lot of\ntedious detail that you have to keep in your head.
