Really good entry, impressive quality of graphisms (already noticed this by following PixelDailies production :v: ), and fun gameplay!

Nice backstory, I like how the controls are different from other space-shooters. It takes some time to getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it plays well

I had fun

I looks and sounds amazing! That's an incredible level of polish for a game jam game! My major complaint is that picking up both a weapon and shield upgrade basically make you unstoppable. I had to leave my computer just as the boss fight started and when I got back "We did it" was written across the screen. One other quality of life improvement would be if I could select my weapons/engines/shields while the dialogue/cutscenes are playing. That way I don't have to panic click them while enemies are coming at me. Either that of have a small window to set things before enemies are on screen. Still, overall, amazing work!

Whoaah,

- Great art
- Great music
- Great mechanics (tho It would've been cool to have keys to quick access clickable menus)

This game is the full package!! It feels super polished, dialogs flow really smooth, that effect on some words to emphazise something is really cool too. Very very good, congrats on your game! I loved it (Also, Add fullscreen on the html 5 version!)

That is a really cool concept and the pixel art is also great. It was however too hectic for me dealing with the enemies while also managing powers. Maybe keys instead of mouse would have helped, then you don't have to look at the controls for changing them.

The pixel art, mood and music were awesome :D
The mechanic felt a bit clunky and unfun to me. I wasn't sure when to boost what based on the enemies and there was a lot going on at once... but the idea is cool, might just need a simpler interface like scrolling through modes or reducing the number of modules.. not sure

- I would have liked a full-screen button on itch.io - with the small window, some of the text was quite difficult to read.
- UI, text and graphics feel very well polished, well done.
- Very nice music.
- It would be nice if the dialogue didn't replay every time you died in stage.
- Difficulty curve is a bit weird; I struggled a lot on the first couple of stages, but after receiving the homing bullet upgrade, everything else was a breeze.

Cool graphics ! The gameplay is really well made, I love the idea of needing to balance movement, weapons and shield, but in practice I think that it is really hard to predict when the enemy will hit you, as enemy bullets are very fast, so I never could use it to my advantage. But the game is still really fun to play !

Nicely done! I got here through your "5 to go"-post. Your game feels super polished and looks amazing. Definitely a shame that you still need some votings.

Our game is only 4 votings away from qualifying, so I would appreciate it if you couls play and vote our game as well! Keep up the good work!

@toreole the browser version is controlled primarily with the mouse  clicking will advance text. space bar should work also. after the ship is powered by clicking the middle systems lever, either WASD or arrow keys will allow for movement.

@anuke thank you for your feedback

Unfortunately, gamemaker doesn't play well with itchio's built in fullscreen button, leading to the game not really centering. I'm looking for a fix to that still. In addition, itchio puts the button in the bottom corner, overlapping where you need to turn shields on slightly, which causes issues in gameplay.
