A Druid's Day by TheCrittersCove
Play as a druid trying to restore the land as it constantly tries to turn barren. Turn 50% of the land green to win the game. Land near trees can't turn barren(including diagonal tiles) and flowers attract bees that can make honey(mana). Use stones to remove locusts before they turn the land back to dirt.
Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you for playing!
Controls:
Arrow keys for movement
1-4 for spells

Thank you for the compliments @zookatron! If I had more time I would have liked to add more spells and obstacles.
I'll be playing both of your games soon! :)
I really liked that I felt like I would never win in the beginning, and at some point it became clear that the locust would be useless against my ever-expanding hive technology :smiling_imp:
The graphics and the music are very cool too.

A very charming game with a fun concept. Controls are a bit of a bother, as it's hard to aim and know what tiles you'll hit - and lag would make the game stuttery on top of that (although whether it's my machine or the game, I can't say for sure. not like I'd count lag in my rating - no worries!)
Cute art, enjoyable mood. I could definitely see how levels could have you strategize more around this core loop, were you to continue work on it.
Well done!
One major criticism: I was sad the game suddenly ended. I really wanted to continue playing and turn all of the land green :)
I'm going to try my best to play through everyone's games in the next couple of hours before the jam ends.
