I don't know if I have ever seen a Ludum Dare game this deserving of a post-jam version. I'm talking local multiplayer, online multiplayer, Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Xbox One/Series X|S, Sony PS4/PS5, Android (iOS is too much of a weakling for this)! This is the future of sports, imagine if sports were actually this interesting. This is the first all-5-stars rating I've done this jam! You did not disappoint, @ausstein .

I love the concept of football (pong?) with exploding robots. Lot of action and fun. Some text of the UI is hard to read. The static camera makes it difficult the judge distances, or the exact location of the ball. Good job!

Love the concept! The camera makes it a bit hard to aim and there is a definite advantage to the larger bots so you can show your skill with the smaller ones. Great work all around!

Really fun and creative idea! The gameplay was engaging, but the camera was pretty janky, and with all the debris that builds up over the game, it became hard to even know where my player was. This game would make a great local multiplayer game

This game just cracked me up, I loved hitting the ball on 3 minutes vs a hard big guy (don't take that out of context).

The ball was a bit difficult to find close to the end of the 3 minutes (as was the player) but I still had a lot of fun trying to find it. Reminded me a bit of a ball pit!

@peace-of-cake-games Thanks for the very kind words. I am not sure yet if I'll find time to develop this further.

amazing game I loved it! Maybe ball could have moved a bit faster to increase the scoring I found after my 2 minute game that it was a 1:1 draw with the ai; not sure it was great though I really liked it.

Oh my goodness. That was crazy. Awesome. My one critique he ball is a bit hard to aim.

My favorite was the 3rd ninja-running robot. :)

It very hard to aim with the camera angle, and also the ball being unlit. Another suggestion is to make the explosion smoke semi transparent, so it doesn't block the vision as much.

Great 3d modelling, animation and explosion effect work, it looks really good! The idea and gameplay are very interesting! The 'self destruct' seems a bit OP without a timer on it, seems like I can defend anything :P Also with time the floor is littered with dead robot parts, which makes it really hard to find the ball :D

Overall very impressive work!

This was so cool. I love the explosions and robot bits left over! Nice job :D It was fun trying to explode the ball away!

Heh very wild idea. I enjoyed it. Maybe you should polish aiming a little more. Overall good experience :)

A very cleverly designed game, which interprets the theme well. I thought it was clever how you respawned at your goal, so although you hopefully moved the ball closer to your opponent's goal when you exploded you loose ground on the pitch. The only think letting the game down is the camera angle, which I think should have been static or slow moving and angled higher up. Great game!

Loved the idea, the ridiculousness of all the exploded robots on the field added to the mood. Good job having the various bots and ai difficulties. Keep making games!

A crazy but very fun game, I would like to try it out with friends !

Instead of a jump I would have added a different ability, like a short dash or sprint. I think it could improve the already enjoyable loop of appearing-positioning-hitting the ball.

Haha playing a 3 minute round, there eventually was enough debris on the ground that I could barely tell where myself, the ball, or the enemy was. I think this added to the charm though, nice job!

I'm seeing your name on top of a lot of leaderboards, I challenge you to try and take a high rank in mine!

The only thing i didnt like is how much the particles on explosion obstructed the view.

I really liked the idea for this game, but I think that there are a few confusing things that with simple changes could improve the game even more.

- Sometimes it's hard to tell how far your robot is inside the football field. This is probably because the camera is placed on the side. To improve this you could try placing the camera in a more top-down fashion, placing it on your goal and facing the opponent's or adopting a 3rd or 1st person camera.

- It can be difficult to tell at which height the ball is at. To improve this you could make it cast a shadow downward or show an indicator like Rocket League does. I think they probably had to deal with similar problems so it can be a good reference to look into.

In general, having different lights that illuminate the objects would also help to spot where they are and to make everything look even better.

Thanks for making this game, it was really fun to play!
