We got a tons of ideas for a post-ludum version, so probably that issue could be solved in a future. But not for now, alas.
BTW, killers became a bit faster after each kill, so it's essential to keep as much characters as you can.
We have some ideas to add more mechanics: individual abilities for a characters, some usable objects on the map, different levels and a possibility to actually beat the game. If jam results would be high enough for us then we probably will add all these features.
EDIT: I'm surprised I can't rate you on audio?? I'd love to give you stars for that!
we wanted to make the objective (some traps, buttons and a ladder to the next level) and probably will in a post-ludum version.
Actually we wanted to do all this stuff on a jam, but as usual time was against us =)
Pots-ludum version probably will have and objectives, different levels and win condition.
But for ludum we make as much as we could in 2 days and then just trying to polish it. Polished and solid but simple game is much better then bigger but more buggy game, imho
Yeah, you right, something modern would fit better. On the other hand, scary movies often uses abandoned or ancient places.
To be honest, walls and floor was the first assets I made, and I made it before we figured the plot. That's why dungeon is ancient, but all characters and furniture much more modern
The biggest issue for me was that the characters felt really unresponsive to control. I think it kind of added to the atmosphere and mood of the game, but I'm not sure that it's worth the trade off in how satisfying the game is to play.
Best time I was was a bit more then 2 minutes.
I had to do a game such hard because we managed to make only one mechanic - moving =) So if it was easier, then it would be pretty boring =(
We had some plans to further development, but it's just plans for now
And even desktop version has much smaller scale then I wanted, but for now we needed a static camera for a better control of situation
Honestly, it's not intentional and I don't know why they do so. Probably they are scared
Good work!
I also played the web version and everything was a little bit small for me and found it difficult to actually find my characters.
Sometimes it felt that clicking for selecting was not responsive. Was the clicking based on tiles or characters? If it was characters maybe you could add a bigger collider around the characters for slight miss clicks.
A button for quickly cycling through characters could also help.
Some sound effects whenever a character is killed off would also add a lot!
the graphics are really cute :D Good job!
I had an issue where there was two fullscreen buttons overlaid on top of each other where one worked properly and the one went fullscreen but the game window remained tiny:
