Additionally, a simple race against the clock without any victory condition seems to be the main theme that people go for.
Great job!
Is it intended that full screen can see so much more than default view on itch.io?
Hard to see what we can drive on and where are the walls, at least tat first glance. In the end we learn which is which.
Looking at it again I think the itch.io version did something wrong in my browser, your gif looks better .

One suggest I would make is to make it more obvious where a delivery zone starts and ends. Also, if I could just drive through the zone without stopping would make delivery more pleasing, and make keeping momentum and drifts skills more of a deciding factor.

I also love the way bonus points works. It challenges me to find the best way to deliver my ice cream. It also helped me discover new ways to drive. I had a very long streak of clean deliveries \( ̄︶ ̄*\) It was great seeing that multiplier go up and getting rewarded for not bumping into the walls.
Can't forget the jingle, the fact that it sped up every time you leveled up was great! It's also going to be looping in my head the entire day, which is a good thing ᓚᘏᗢ
I can totally see myself playing this to kill some time (and I totally will keep playing to beat that #1 highscore!) It's super polished and it seems like you guys put a lot of thought into the design. Good job to the both of you! I love it! (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)
Really satisfying to compete with other players haha
Great job!
on Itch it seems it moves the screen as we type the arrows, I will try fullscreen maybe I will get better records.
Great grapphics and effects, a very crazy taxi vibes in here.

Fun game overall, liked the music and sfx in particular.
The crazy taxi concept is simple and well executed, I liked how the difficulty ramp up! The scoring system is cool. Driving felt mostly good, except when you get stuck on corners.
The menus are gorgeous and the fake 3D truck is really clean.
Thanks for the game, I had fun 🍧🚚
:eyes:
Good job, great game!
solid, coherent package, ice cream truck and aesthetic feel 12/10
my fingers enjoyed the driving mechanic and making sick drifts, it's tricky at start but with some practice becomes easier
I wish that just slamming in the small people would make the delivery, it would be great to not have to stop and just deliver ice-cream mid-drift ( E P I C M O M E N T ) and continue!
I love the LD51 flower pattern    very elegant
What is this JuiceBox engine, what lang. is is based on, does it have GUI?
Can you drive it 50 knots? While scooping gelatos?
Best execution of a web game I've seen, fits perfectly in a browser window and plays flawlessly. Good execution of of the theme, great art, fun mechanics. A joy to play! Not to mention leaderboards which kept me coming back trying to best my last score.
Great fun little game, love the leaderboard feature
I did write tools to export from level editing programs like Tiled to make development of games easier.
The music was good, fits the theme so well. I also like the 3D model car on the 2d background.
By the end I think I was pretty much just going back and forth between the same two people...

quite impressive technique that you used for rendering the truck great game
Music is awesome! I like the gameover music too, very fitting. I also like that the first delevery is not timed, so you can get used to the controls a bit.
Also, would you maybe have any settings/extensions that would alter image loading? (Making images brighter/darker or something)
Windows 11 Standard Firefox
It might be an issue with my integrated Intel GPU
I played the game on my Laptop
Either way, great job and fun game!
Art style and sound design are really well done!
But van control process feels a bit weird:
- It took time to get used to van's intention to straighten up when A/D are not pressed. That's the moment when the illusion of car driving expirience breaks. I guess it works so to make drift mechanic possible, doesn't it?
- Extremely strict collision boxes that doesn't allow to ride over grass and asphalt nearby houses.
Also I guess I faced with a bug:
- Van shaking seems to be fps dependent animation, because on my PC it shakes extremely fast what looks like motion blur. Unfortunatelly van isn't blurred on screenshots or a capture video, so I can show only a photo of my screen.
P.S. thanks for your post about van rendering process :D
I liked this game, thank you for publishing!
I found something wrong with the controls. But I can't describe it properly. I guess I didn't like such a strange turn-around in relatively narrow streets. But it's also possible that I'm just clumsy and looking for an excuse :D
I would appreciate it if I could pass the ice cream without coming to a complete stop. Again, I appreciate that I can give it from quite a distance and the game will allow it.
good job
I really enjoyed playing this game, it is also quite addicting. It also helps that there is a leaderboard. :)
I like how you actually have to stop near the customer, but it would be nice to have some visual feedback to know if you are close enough. Something about the steering was a bit weird, but that also made it hilarious.
I like how the music changes after a while and gets you all hyped, also the transition into the game over music is nice.
I like how you can take your time to get to the first customer and learn how to drive the truck.
Overall, great game! Well done  :icecream:
