the style is good and the pig is cute. but a couple of times the goal block started to move before i even had a chance to jump on it and got left behind. Outside of that the game is good, even if i'm bad at it

Thanks for the feedback @peebabubber! We're fixing some bugs for a "rolling edition", just didn't have time to round off a few edges with this initial release.

Nice game. It was a disappointment to see Unity WebGL popup after seeing the great boxart. but the game was still very solid. Great mood. There where some glitches. Hitting an edge of an platform made you fall through it sometimes. The level transitions where a bit slow and the physics was also very slippery. But overall a nice entry. Thanks for making it and hopefully a future game can also actually be played on a GameBoy Color ;)

Very insightful @timo-strating - thank you for checking out the game! There's a few bugs that are impacting quite a few collision things - these are getting looked at ASAP after a long weekend of jams.

If it's good enough to keep up with, keep an eye out for updates.

Working on a review from your game in short time! Thanks for jamming with us!

It could end being a cute, fast game, but the transition between stages is a little bit rough, I always died in starting stage three because the camera didn't move :/

Love the pig!
It seems that you have some collision issue, I manage to slip between tiles (or through?). The controls are pretty hard, I haven't manage to beat the game. Also, a longuer music loop could be cool!

But everything is nice, because the pig is cute.

this is a great game, the only thing that I would change is the checkpoint, I think that each level should be a checkpoint.

Cute animations, I really like the artstyle of the title and the messages being printed. During my gameplay i got once stuck inside a block (possibly while switching direction while falling next to a wall) and once jumping was no longer possible after dropping a certain height.
Since the platformer mechanics are pretty hard and the time constraint very challenging, I would appreciate more checkpoints. Finally getting through a sequence and instantly dying on the next part throwing you back quite feels like a very big penalty.

All I can say is this has awoken in me a deep yearning for more pig themed games. Well done!

Cute game and great graphics! I had some issues with the game camera but overall I liked the theme of the game. If you have more time to refine in the future consider exploring the fluidity of the controls. Thanks for the fun time!

Okay I broke out! Nice ending screen. Oh also the title screen was cute and the music was nice. No one told me I'm a good pig until today! I found it a bit harsh to make it to the first checkpoint. Maybe every room would be nice, but after a while I got the controls down. I think you would really benefit from learning about coyote frames etc. Here is a good summary with an example for making really smooth controls for a platformer: http://www.davetech.co.uk/gamedevplatformer. It's really insightful!
I really had fun playing! Hope you had fun making it!

Oink, I love it :) I couldn't make it very far but I enjoyed the heck out of it. Felt like I needed a checkpoint on every level maybe. Nice job

Nice Gameboy aesthetics !

I add more trouble with the gameplay however : moving felt so slipery ! That made the jumps really hard for me, who is not used to platformer...

The pigs and the *oink*s are so cute! Music is nice, too! The control is challenging. I wish there were more checkpoints... :sob:

YES! Game Boy Color!

Fun little platformer, great music. Took me a lot of tries, but managed to finish it! Controls felt a bit "slippery" to me at first, but eventually got the hang of it. Did run into a minor bug - not sure what happened, but the first time I left the final room (to the left), I got reset to the previous checkpoint instead of going to the ending screen.

The pig sprites are so cute! Everything had a nice retro feel to it. The controls were pretty difficult to me, though. It seemed like I needed to build up momentum to be able to jump farther, which was tough to do in such small levels. I love the concept though!

I didn't read the instructions and discovered the oink by accident.
Would play the game just for the oinks.

All of the graphics were great (oh man, that ending screen), and the game is built pretty humorously - both definitely a plus :)

The movement itself felt a little awkward - a bit too slippery for my taste, and the gravity was oh so high.
It definitely made the game a lot more difficult, but not really in the way I like my difficult platforming games. It made mastering the mechanics feel like a bit of a tedious task, and once mastered, solving the levels themselves also felt a bit off.

OH MY GOD the beginning and end scenes were SO CUTE. The platforming was pretty decent, I felt when I hit my head it was a bit punishing, but there was more than enough time for each level. It took me a couple tries to get past the first checkpoint, but the afterwards I had no more than one death per checkpoint. Lots of level! Good job

WOWWWW I absolutely love how the pig moves it's so mesmerizing!! Also the music is a BOPPP It's so intense and makes me get an adrenaline rush in the best way. The ten second feature is also brilliant! Short levels in ten seconds. WOW! Graphics are also super cute and simple. Love the gameboy vibe too!

This game was majestic. Got stuck near the end(?) but I'm totally coming back to it when I have more time. Nice work!

Really loved the audio, very cool - took me back to the old 90's PC games. I couldn't get past the spikes , and I was expecting to roll back to the other pigs from the first screen instead of game over . So if you made it further the second time, you'd pass the corpses of the failed piggies. :grimacing:
