Awesome idea and great execution. Love the death animation and feeling tense trying to find the next screen in darkness!

Very fun game ! I love graphics and the gameplay is interesting  !

It's very stressful (good stress  ) to find the exit before time is up. Very good idea  Congratulations !

Great look and feel. I Like the color combination used!..

The visual style is great, the limited color palette and animations feel really good. The game itself is nothing super complicated, and later on it kinda becomes a memory game rather than a simple platformer, but I had fun with it! Great job!

Good game, feel and mechanics are good but the trial and error can be frustrating. Having to redo all the past levels if you mess up a new level that you cant see and have to explore a bit by design. Maybe needs a casual mode with checkpoints and then a speedrun mode.

Visually an excellent game! The gameplay was fun as well, and it definitely started getting frustrating with the later levels. All the animation and particles were very nice touches. The character felt like it was kinda heavy, between the loud footsteps and the jumping arc haha

Well done!!

Sounds and visuals on point. Loved the difficulty and lighting effects as time went on! Would be interesting to see it as a more fleshed out game!
Good job :)

Very engaging to play. Crisp movement and smart level design. A little bit too short :> definitely i wanna play more : )

I love visuals and sound design (though it feels buggy sometimes, jump sound doesn't play some times). I really loved particles. And~ i certainly had fun with it (though i wasn't able to go more further than 6th level).

Very aesthetically pleasing! I do wish WASD worked, though. Great entry!

I loved this game from a sound and visual point of view and the platforming felt good. But I did not like the restart and having to go through the game again. Great job on making such a polished game though!

Having to start over is a bummer, but the art, sound and polish are really good.

Art and the retro feel was very nice, the chosen color pallete worked well!
It got hard when I started going up.

This is a really cool game! The graphics are amazing and the music is rlly nice :) The concept is also interesting how each level pan resets the timer, nice job!

This is the first jam platformer that I know of that actually has coyote time!

This game is fun, and I'd like to finish it, but arrow keys are really uncomfortable for me, a WASD option would be much appreciated.

Awesome game, very polished! I didn't finish it but if there was a checkpoint or two I would. The art was awesome, great job!

I played this one on stream last night! unfortunately the VOD got muted, so no link :(

*(oh, but I see you recorded it! nice :D had no idea you were still there haha)*

I enjoyed grinding away at it while slowly descending into madness haha

I didn't manage to beat it, but it was a very satisfying platformer with a nice themed twist. It actually really reminded me of a platformer that had a similar mechanic in LD50 a lot, but I can't remember the name

I also really love the color palette you used!

Great art and sound! The particle effects and the sound when the camera moves are a super nice touch! Very satisfying. I like the way the timer is tied to the amount of light you have as well as the length of each level, that's a good use of the theme. I would have appreciated some checkpoints, but otherwise, great game!

Hey :relaxed: So far I had a bit of trouble with most platformers that I played here, but I think it was mostly because it's important to get the movement exactly right so that it feels nice. The movement here feels spot on! (Only the wall jumps feel like they should be a bit easier)

Also it obivously looks very nice and polished :relaxed:

I think it would be cool if instead of finding the exit there would be some lanterns that you would collect :flashlight:

A cool catchy game tbh, tried it multiple times, but didn't reach finish actually, since was annoyed at some point to start from the very beginning. However I do like art approach and overall feelings - it's really responsive platformer. Nice one, dude, keep rock!

Really polished platformer, job well done! Controls feel great, art is fantastic, sounds are good. My only complaint is that there's no checkpoints. Other than that, fantastic job!

This is a fantastic platformer! The wall slide and wall jump physic were so satisfying, and having the screen ratchet over like a typewriter was so cool! And that was such a good way to implement the 10 second counter. Of course, the music and graphics were really good too. I hope to make games like this someday!

you worried about it being too hard, but don't worry, that kind is game is made for die&retry! i was so happy when i finally got past the room i had trouble with (6th if i remember well), hopefully after that i one shot the rest!
visuals are great, controls are super responsive (the wall jump is intuitive)

That game is so punishing but so rewarding to get to the end! I think it took me about 50 tries minimum! The art and sound complemented each other nicely. Thank you for submitting :).

I also really liked the art and sound. If I could change anything it would have been the keys for control (the controls were fine). More of a preference, I just like the jump not on a directional button. The diminishing light really helped with the urgency, even more than the timer. Fun speed run. Nice job!

I really enjoyed this! The art is so well done! It feels so polished and the levels are fun to play! Love the sounds! Especially the rewinding sound when you get to a new room! My only small complaint is that I would have wished you would have also binded jump to space as I was ghost pressing space with W :D Anyway amazing how you put all of this together so well! Thank you for making this!! :3

That was fun.
It was INTENSE.
I was grumpy that there weren't any checkpoints after a few deaths cause I kept dying at the exact same spot and then I had to start all over again.... and then started dying in earlier spots cause of my frustration.
BUT. I am terribad at platformers.
I normally hate them.
I actually had fun on this one.

The visuals were great, I loved how everything was closed in. The sounds were perfect.
Everything felt rushed, chaotic, and just perfect.

Incredibly well done.
If this game were to be further developed/made longer I would definitely say that there needs to be an easy mode that puts checkpoints in for us bad at platformer types. xD

Thanks for the fun. :D

good looking and polished game. would be nice if you added more levels and checkpoints, but in my opinion everything was enough for the game for ld! well done!

Damn thats nice. Your art, your sound and your controls absolutly slaps. It seems like you have a lot of talent. The idea feels a bit bare-boned. Just not much about it. But that is fine concidering the great game that this still is. And by a lot.

I too often died, very lacking control points. But I liked this game, beautiful graphics and an interesting idea. The main character is just adorable 🥰

Very well polished, responsive and neat sound effects. It's a bit sad that you need to start from the very beginning every time you die but nonetheless a lot of fun. Great job!

Great game, however it would be helpful to have at least some kind of checkpoints at some places. It's very frustrating to play all over again after each death :)

Nice game but why is there no check points ? :o

At first it's cool the become faster and not die where you died before but it's become quickly boring at least for me.

The art style is absolutely spectacular! I wouldn't restart the game all the way to the beginning when you die though - it can get a tad bit frustrating.

Really great movement and art style, the sound effects are good and the sprite animations we're great as well. I feel like the game play could be changed up a bit if you added a new mechanic... I get that's difficult when a lot goes into level design and game art, but I think it would've made it a little more innovative to the game. Overall great job

I think the art and sound of the game were good. The character felt smooth to control and left me wanting more of it as the game and levels were short and simple. Lots of room to grow with this game and few downsides!

Very polished game - I love the music! The artwork/animation style is great too, and the lighting gives it atmosphere and adds to the difficulty nicely.
I feel like wall jumping is a bit easy, as pushing off doesn't have much horizontal force and you can just hold one direction snd spam jump. @m4ttu built a similar game that makes this a bit more difficult.
Only other tiny nitpick is the jump sounds varied in pitch a bit too much - the lower ones sound like a smaller jump.
Nice job! I finished it :).
