It's very stressful (good stress  ) to find the exit before time is up. Very good idea  Congratulations !
Well done!!
Good job :)
It got hard when I started going up.
This game is fun, and I'd like to finish it, but arrow keys are really uncomfortable for me, a WASD option would be much appreciated.
*(oh, but I see you recorded it! nice :D had no idea you were still there haha)*
I enjoyed grinding away at it while slowly descending into madness haha
I didn't manage to beat it, but it was a very satisfying platformer with a nice themed twist. It actually really reminded me of a platformer that had a similar mechanic in LD50 a lot, but I can't remember the name
I also really love the color palette you used!
Also it obivously looks very nice and polished :relaxed:
I think it would be cool if instead of finding the exit there would be some lanterns that you would collect :flashlight:
visuals are great, controls are super responsive (the wall jump is intuitive)
It was INTENSE.
I was grumpy that there weren't any checkpoints after a few deaths cause I kept dying at the exact same spot and then I had to start all over again.... and then started dying in earlier spots cause of my frustration.
BUT. I am terribad at platformers.
I normally hate them.
I actually had fun on this one.
The visuals were great, I loved how everything was closed in. The sounds were perfect.
Everything felt rushed, chaotic, and just perfect.
Incredibly well done.
If this game were to be further developed/made longer I would definitely say that there needs to be an easy mode that puts checkpoints in for us bad at platformer types. xD
Thanks for the fun. :D
At first it's cool the become faster and not die where you died before but it's become quickly boring at least for me.
I couldn't make it to the end, my reflexes aren't what they once were. :grimacing:
I feel like wall jumping is a bit easy, as pushing off doesn't have much horizontal force and you can just hold one direction snd spam jump. @m4ttu built a similar game that makes this a bit more difficult.
Only other tiny nitpick is the jump sounds varied in pitch a bit too much - the lower ones sound like a smaller jump.
Nice job! I finished it :).
