this had me cracking up!!! Gameplay was simple but fun and well executed. The dialogues between rounds were hilarious. Great entry :D

Too hard for me. Seems I have lost all my Punch-out skills. Love the dialog sounds :)

Very fun boxing game!! However there's a high difficult value, i would delay more the attack of the rival and being inmune during dodging "i've got hit sometimes while dodging", but still a very good solid game. Great job

Nice game, evading attacks is pretty difficult though

I got the hang of dodging attacks pretty quickly, but the damage I did with my hits was so negligible compared to the enemy, that I never managed to beat them. It's easy for skill-focused jam games to be too difficult, since the developer is already so used to playing the game when determining balance, whereas a new player has to learn all of that in a couple minutes.

I especially had a hard time distinguishing between the telegraphs of the enemy getting hit or winding up for a punch, since they had pretty similar animations.

I like the idea of the 10 second rounds with some advice or encouragement from the coach in between, but the text was painfully slow and with no apparent way to skip it or at least make it all appear with a button press, it interrupted the gameplay flow a little too much.

Otherwise the game was quite fun, and I really liked the graphics.

The classic boxing mechanic is well executed. Overall I enjoyed the experience, but not being able to skip the glacial pace text between rounds really hurts my desire to try again after I fail a couple times.

As others have stated, the dialogue is pretty slow and on reruns I really wish I had a skip button. I also would've liked specific subtle tells for how many punches the enemy is going to throw, it was pretty frustrating waiting for him to punch, then hitting, only for him to wind up immediately again. I tried adapting to this but sometimes he would throw one punch, I would wait, then go "oh shit now's my chance" only to punch and have him wind his next one up, not giving me enough time to dodge  Other than that, it's a very charming game with nice animations and funny dialogue. The coach is great. Both getting a punch in and getting punch really made you feel the oomph. Overall, good job with this!

Quite solid graphics and sounds but kinda difficult from start. A button to skip dialogues would be nice
